You may be right.
My financee lives in AK and is sick of the company she is working for. I could get into the details regarding the nature of the work and the similiaries of the company culture that your fiancee is experiencing but since my lady hasn’t put her final word in, I am refraining from such detail on the web.
Well, we are getting married in a few weeks and I am moving her down to the lower 48.
We have our fingers crossed....

My fiancee and I are getting married in less than 2 weeks.
I told her that once the knot is tied and I’m hired on full time at my new company (currently contracted temp-to-perm), she can quit and become house frau if she wants to.
If nothing else, it’ll give her the opportunity to relax for a while and perhaps start carrying our child, God willing.
MANY employers are mistreating their non-management employees, because they know they can get away with it. Many folks at this company have threatened to leave, but with the unemployment glut being what it is, there would be a dozen applications on her’s boss’s desk the morning after she quit.
I do agree with other posters, however, that employers would be much better off treating their employees well to maximize profits during this downturn, and when things start looking up, they can share in the wealth and reward those who stuck it out.
