House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King (R-N.Y.) has asked the Obama administration to explain why a member of a known terrorist group was allowed to enter the U.S. last week and participate in high-level meetings at the White House and State Department.
King wrote to Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano on Sunday to ask several questions about Hani Nour Eldin's visit last week. Eldin is a member of Egypt's parliament, but he is also a member of the Islamic Group, which has been linked to violence in Egypt and is a designated terrorist organization.
"Mr. Eldin's membership in the Islamic Group is a matter of public record, and reportedly even disclosed on his Facebook page," King wrote.
"I am aware that there may be legitimate diplomatic reasons to grant a member of a designated foreign terrorist organization a visa to visit the United States, such as for example in furtherance of peace negotiations," he added. "However, the nature of Eldin's visit suggests an absence of full vetting rather than a policy choice, or perhaps a break-down in the screening missions of and coordination among our federal agencies."
King noted that last week, Eldin met with senior State Department officials and reportedly requested the transfer of the jailed leader of his group to Egyptian custody.
On Friday, a State Department spokeswoman said all visa recipients go through a "full set of screenings," but said State is looking into the Eldin case.
In light of these events, King asked Napolitano to answer eight groups of questions, including which federal agency sponsored Eldin's visa application, what steps were taken to learn about his background, and what the rationale was for accepting the visa application.
More broadly, King asked what policies are in place related to visa applications from members of designated terrorist organizations. King asked for answers to his questions by next week on July 3.

I don’t believe this was at all accidental.
It was intentional.
Our White House is occupied by a hostile saboteur.
A foreign enemy combatant who told the Egyptian ambassador that he was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda. The Muslim agenda is the destruction of the US and Israel and the institution of worldwide sharia. IOW, this guy is a self-professed enemy of the country and its Constitution.
Even taking the oath of office was an act of treason for this guy - except that he’s probably not even a US citizen, unless he’s naturalized at some point.

It’s time we let our elected officials we are not amused by their winking at somebody they all knew was either a traitor (if he ever became a US citizen) or a foreign enemy combatant. With “friends” like every dang person holding office in Washington DC, who needs enemies?

King just wants some face time in the news — he had an iquiry into the muslim threat to our country last year and he never arrived at a conclusion.
