I posted a similar question in my local newspaper...what are they so proud about. Assuming that being homosexual is because they are “born that way” (which I don't buy, but we'll use it for the question), why be proud about it and have a parade? That would be like having a brown eye parade or a size 10 shoe parade.

Just because people are open about having someone of the same sex pleasure them, that isn't exactly an accomplishment. An accomplishment is something like going to the moon or separating yourself from a world power (Independence day).

Indeed. As Joseph Sobran put it, why take “pride” in a disorder? There is no heterosexual pride. It’s just taken for granted. Even homosexual persons have to engage in heterosexuality in order to reproduce themselves(whether the old fashioned way or thru IVF).
