THE RETORT -------------

“The Congressman’s analysis has as much merit as his absurd contention that Operation Fast and Furious was created in order to promote gun control," said White House spokesman Eric Schultz. "Our position is consistent with Executive Branch legal precedent for the past three decades spanning Administrations of both parties, and dating back to President Reagan’s Department of Justice. The Courts have routinely considered deliberative process privilege claims and affirmed the right of the executive branch to invoke the privilege even when White House documents are not involved.”

“Misconduct occurred on two levels. Issa’s reference is to the false information submitted by DoJ officials in Congressional testimony, which is the specific subject of the subpoenas on which the contempt charge is based. However, the overall investigation into OF&F also probes official misconduct in deliberately allowing thousands of weapons to be carried over the border with no way to track them, which violates regulations at the ATF — which is why ATF insiders blew the whistle on the operation in the first place. Either way, Issa is entirely correct under US v Espy that deliberative process executive privilege does not survive in these circumstances.”

Issa to Obama: So … the White House is involved in Fast and Furious, then?

I saw this letter first thing this AM. It was delivered to the press last night with a strict embargo NOT to release it until this morning. Issa has thrown down the gauntlet. Pray for Issa.

A read of the full letter reveals that Issa is concerned, in part, about retaliation against whistle blowers within the justice dept, part of the president's administration. It seems Senator Obama campaigned on a promise to support strong Whistle blower protection enhancements legislation, but once in orifice worked to defeat these initiatives by supporting a Demoncrat sponsored bill that weakened claimants' rights and protections. Guess which bill prevailed. Here is some background: Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act

Now, why would President Obama be hostile to those who would call attention to corruption and illegalities within his government? Hmm.

What's logic. Old farmer says if you pee to close to the barn you get your feet wet. Apply logic to our communists black Muslim King Obama and this purpose of Executive Privilege with F&F documents is for what purpose? Now can we suppose that it is to hide something King Obama does not want to see? Now I wonder????????????

Oddly enough, this is absolutely true. As both the analysis and the contention are true and valid, they have equal merit.

Two of those firearms were discovered at the scene where Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed near Rio Rico, Az., on Dec. 14, 2010.

Three guns were recovered at the scene.

FBI Criminal Informant Complicit in Brian Terry’s Death (PJM Exclusive)

The rip crew was in Peck Canyon that evening with the intention of stealing money and drugs from a specific shipment of which they had prior knowledge.

(snip)

The rip crew knew to be in Peck Canyon that December evening because a CI working for the FBI found out about a smuggling run — from the FBI.

(snip)

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) — through its own CIs and communications intercepts — was also aware of the planned assault.

Neither the DEA nor FBI warned Border Patrol about the expected criminal activity.

(snip)

The federal government will still not reveal if one of the two WASR-10 AK-pattern semi-automatic rifles located near the scene — provided to the Sinaloa cartel via Operation Fast and Furious — was the weapon that put a bullet through Brian Terry’s heart. The existence of a third recovered gun, an SKS carbine, has been disputed by the FBI despite the fact it had been talked about openly in the beginning of the investigation among federal agents.

Multiple sources tell PJM that this third weapon “disappeared” because it was the weapon carried by the FBI CI who ran the rip crew. When it was recovered near the scene of the murder and subsequently traced by the ATF, it traced back to the FBI CI via the gun shop in Texas where it was purchased.

Brian Terry’s murder was entirely preventable. The incompetence of the DEA and FBI let his Border Patrol unit walk into an ambush. After the ambush, it appears the FBI tampered with evidence to cover up that one of their informants was involved with the murder of a federal agent.

“The Congressman’s analysis has as much merit as his absurd contention that Operation Fast and Furious was created in order to promote gun control," said White House spokesman Eric Schultz.

In other words, Fast and Furious was created in order to promote gun control...
