The problem with a college playoff system has always been, "What about the bowls?"

So, one game on New Year's Eve and the other on New Year's Day will suck viewers away from all the other bowl games with the two winners meeting a week later.

Want more teams in an extended playoff?

All the other bowls better get with the program and become a part of the playoff picture or they can only count on the eyeballs-on-the-TV and butts-in-the-seats of their participants fans.

Guaranteed 16 teams before 2020 and a lot of the lesser bowls going the way of the Dodo.

“Whats the War Eagle (2012) about?”

I am also an Auburn fan, I would like to see Auburn win in 2012 like they did in 2010. Nice to see the Alabama teams alternate.

And I see your point. Would have been nice to have this playoff system for this past year.
