Why on earth would you say such a thing? We have the best teams in the country here in the SEC. Just because USC sucks doesnt mean you have to be a hater
Now, if only the SEC teams outside of Vandy were affiliated with actual institutions of higher learning. . .it might once again be called college football.
With all of the rampant over-signing, roster management through "medical retirements." gray shirting, and other cynical practices of that league. half of the field is all but guaranteed to be composed of semi-pro clubs from SEC penal colonies.
A few predictions...
1. This is one of many ongoing small steps toward the elimination of the NCAA as we know it and the creation of an elite “superpowers” conference.
2. The playoff will expand to 8 or 16 teams within a relatively short period of time. It will not stop at 4 teams. As Mike Leach said, there will be a bunch of money generated by this extravaganza, and more money is to be made by adding teams.
3. You will see the end of the amateur college athlete, at least in football. They will start to be paid outright.
