Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (-15, 50% Approval)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 06/30/2012 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 06/30/2012 11:22:07 AM PDT by nhwingut

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows President Obama attracting 46% of the vote, while Mitt Romney earns 44%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

The president’s is enjoying a modest bounce following the Supreme Court ruling on the health care law. This is the first time he has held the lead on consecutive days in more than a month.

SNIP

A president’s Job Approval rating is one of the best indicators for assessing his chances of reelection. Typically, the president’s Job Approval rating on Election Day will be close to the share of the vote he receives. Currently, 50% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) at least somewhat disapprove (see trends).

I agree that Obama has been punked in any election that has been even a close referendum on him since he took office.

I disagree that gay marriage being consistently defeated in state referenda/state constitutional amendments is the proper analogy. Obama can be defeated by voters in states with 270+ electoral votes. Gay marriage, regrettably, is headed to the SCOTUS, and with the equal protection jurisprudence being what it is at present, they will negate all of those state victories on that issue.

that’s not my point...

almost every poll taken on gay marriage shows the majority of people in favor of it- yet just about every time people get to cast a vote on gay marriage it goes down....

ditto with mullah obama; this poll gives him high marks or he’s not doing as badly as he should in that poll- yet as illustrated in prior post, whenever there’s been a major state or national election since 11/08, where people can affirm his way of “governing” at the ballot box, he’s been thumped...

someone posted Romney has 23% approval amongst blacks in the state of Georgia- you think they are alone???

It’s not looking at one tracking poll. It’s looking at what has happened to our country over the last several decades.

We were invaded from the South, did nothing about it, and have reached the tipping point to where the entitlement class is now on the verge of completely taking over.

This is no longer a right of center country. It is rapidly approaching a far left one.

Unfortunately, it will only get worse, not better. I wish it weren’t true, but how can it be denied?

Total economic collapse is the only way anything will change. It will be here pretty soon. I hope there is a country left to salvage from the wreckage.

Long time to election day. Try this vertical continuum:
Extreme Conservative/Libertarian who might not vote for Mitt
Hard R who do not always vote
Hard R who will always vote; and always vote R
Swing voter who always vote
Swing voter who only vote when reminded/;motivated
Hard D who always vote; and always vote D
Hard D who do not alwauys vote
Extreme Progressive/Green who might not vote for Obama.

Will Mitt or Obama more motivate their base to vote?
Will Mitt or Obama more motivate their base to work hard to get to the polls, those who are not otherwise motivated to get to the polls?

Early voting will decide this election. Well organized ground troops can sweep a demographic one week at a time. the well organized campaign will dominate the early voting. The actual voting on election day will be a tie and make little difference.

So who is willing to step away from the keyboard and go door-to-door getting their neigbhors to vote early at the library, village hall or vote-mobile in front of the supermarket?

Issues and ideology will not decide the outcome, Smart work and hard work will decide the outcome.

To expect to win without hard work “because we are right” is affirmative action. Hard work should be rewarded with the win.

Don’t forget his stroke of the EO pen that gave 1 million illegals the right to stay here flaunting Congress’ direct rejection of the “DREAM” act.

re "without firing a shot" -- Did you know that that is the name of a book that is the Communist blueprint to take over Czechoslovakia in the 50s from within the democratically-elected government? The book is two chapters from the actual Communist plan written by Kozak, a top honcho in the CP. I just started reading the Foreword (written in 1999) and it reads like the blueprint Dictator Obama and the Dems are following.

But he's black, semi foreign, the most liberal of them all and from a dysfunctional home/family (like most of weirdowood that likes him). He has name recognition and Hollywood, the arts and news media like him. Symbolism is important to an electorate that doesn't vote on issues, rather a feeling.

His promises of open borders, free lunches for baby mamma's, gays, college students, and every other group that has been told that they are “owed” something just because, will vote for him. Besides he looks so cool jogging on strange and in the words of his Vice President, he's clean and articulate.

The GOP will lose. They lost went “they” chose Romney.

Good grief. If citizens haven’t figured it out by now, they are not going to get it ever. There are just too many freeloaders, too many ignorant, too many devoid of morality. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t fight but evil is convincing the easily manipulated human that evil is good and good is evil.

Everyone chill out. After the GOP Convention ends on Aug. 30 and we have our VP announced and Romney's Acceptance Speech tears up the Marxist in the White House..... I promise you, Romney will be near a double digit lead. And, Obama who's Convention is in chaos (financially and politically with many Congressmen, Senators and Governors refusing to attend) ends leaving Obama with less than a month until Election Day. He will get a tiny bump from his Convention, but it will be small and short lived.
People are madder than I've ever seen. (A poll yesterday showed 23% of Blacks in Georgia voting for Romney.) The SuperPacs for Romney will spend a gazillion dollars on this campaign. The National GOP Chair who organized the GOTV Effort for Scott Walker in WI, is organizing the same GOTV Effort for the Presidential Election. And, DO NOT FORGET THIS: After the 2010 Census, Obama lost 11 Electoral Votes in solid Blue States to solid, Red States. In a close Election, 11 Electoral Votes is a lot.
Don't lose hope and have to be put on suicide watch because of one friggin' poll. We're going to win this thing.

You can take back the country if you want to.

Yes, if we will.

We can win no matter what happens this fall. We simply must decide as individuals to stop supporting and enabling those who wish to destroy us. And then: act on it. Great courage will be required, but there are things worth defending, things which we have long taken for granted: life, liberty, and happiness. We are losing our freedom because of complacency at best, and fear at worst. Speaking only for myself, I'm done with that.

If the government thinks it can choose my health care for me, let them try. I will not comply. Ever.

If the government thinks it can dictate to me how I choose to use my own property, or trade it voluntarily for value with others: I will not comply. Ever.

If the government thinks that it can force me to relinquish my right of self-defense: I will not comply. Ever.

Our government today routinely punishes producers and rewards looters. We must not comply.

The Supreme Court last Thursday has galvanized me and I would guess many, many others.

Do you want your America back? Then you are going to have to take it from those who have stolen it. Speak out, and do so without fear. Vote. Act. Join your local Tea Party. Fill yourself not with anger, but with firm resolve and look not to politicians, but to divine Providence for inspiration, to your own mind for understanding, to your like-minded family, friends and neighbors for inspiration and support, and let us make it happen.

The government in Washington DC is our servant, not our ruler. Let us stop acting as victims and instead act as citizens worthy of a sovereign Republic. This July 4: I ask anyone reading these words to please recommit yourself to the great unfinished task remaining before us: let us reclaim our birthright before it is lost forever. God Bless America.

The problem with that is there are people like us who with no fault of ours, are going down with the ship! I want a place to go that we all can go and live our lives. Let these moochers stay here and figure it out. Why should we have to go down with them?

you do have a point...there’s an old saying “as a man thinketh so is he” but what the hell do you do when these assholes continously get elected making these decisions....also how are we going to make up for the continuous flow from our Southern border who can vote illegally?

Also how do we come up with a good GOP candidate? All of these have caught up with us and becoming hard to overcome.

We recently made good here in my home state of WI so there is a glimmer of hope, i mean our Governor lost Dane County by 100,000 votes but slaughtered his opponent Barret in the rest of the state which has been a bright of hope here.

“I hope there is a country left to salvage from the wreckage.?

The wreckage is already before our eyes if we choose to see it.

But of course there’s hope - IF we’re willing to fight.

Otherwise, no.

“The truth though many don’t want to believe. It is only going to accelerate over the coming years. We are truly done. America is changing, will change, and become radically different. It can not be stopped and THAT is what is so sad.”

America is becoming “radically different” because it is becoming ethnically and demographically “different”.

What is truly “so sad” is that there are so many who refuse to see and to acknowledge this reality, and who still proclaim that “anyone can be conservative”, no matter who they are or where they’ve come from.

Such notions are beautiful dreams, but…..
