Administration makes resources available to help states implement Affordable Insurance Exchanges
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced today a new funding opportunity to help states continue their work to implement the health care law -- the Affordable Care Act. When the law is fully implemented in 2014, the affordable insurance exchanges will provide people and small businesses with one-stop shops to find, compare and purchase affordable, high-quality health insurance. Today’s announcement makes more funding available to build all models of affordable insurance exchanges available to states. HHS also issued further guidance today to help states understand the full scope of activities that can be funded under the available grant funding as they work to build exchanges.
“The federal government and our state partners are moving forward to implement the health care law,” Secretary Sebelius said. “This new funding opportunity will give states the resources they need to establish affordable insurance exchanges and ensure Americans are no longer on their own when shopping for insurance.”
The funding opportunity announced today will provide states with 10 additional opportunities to apply for funding to establish a state-based exchange, state partnership exchange, or to prepare state systems for a federally facilitated exchange. To date, 34 states and the District of Columbia have received approximately $850 million in Exchange Establishment Level One and Level Two cooperative agreements to fund their progress toward building exchanges.
Under the new announcement, states can apply for exchange establishment cooperative agreements through the end of 2014. These funds are available for states to use beyond 2014 as they continue to work on their exchanges. This ensures that states have the support and time necessary to build the best exchange for their residents.
The guidance HHS issued today provides information on the exchange-building activities that states can fund with establishment cooperative agreements. The guidance can be found at: http://cciio.cms.gov/resources/factsheets/hie-est-grant-faq-06292012.html.
HHS will conduct regional implementation forums in coming months to assist states and stakeholders on the work to be done in building exchanges, and to address their questions. HHS will also engage with tribes, tribal governments, and tribal organizations on how exchanges can serve their populations.

We already had that — it used to called “the free market.”
You need to understand the Democrat Communist code words in that sentence:
* “One-stop shop” — statism and totalitarianism
* “Affordable” — taxing us to Greece-like oblivion
* “High-quality” — rationing, doctors leaving the business, death panels, mandating you eat tofu and broccoli, interminable waits for services, remote bureaucrats denying you needed care
The Dems know they have to get as much of this abomination in place before January just in case the Repubs take both houses of Congress and the White House and attempt to repeal ObamaFakeCare.
The propagand will increase - I’m praying enough Governors will stand fast and serve as Tea Party Conservative rallying points. I’m also praying that the People will finally wake up and smell the cyanide.
I noticed in the local paper today that one of the hospital systems was going to start up the “medical home” for patients...apparently this is something in the obamacare bill ...the article said it was for patients who couldn’t afford insurance and that doctors who had availability would be assigned patients .... office visits would be billed at $10 ...now really? doctors are going to be assigned patients? ...how long will a doctor put with that?

Why should we? Kagan ignored the federal statute that directed that she recuse herself from voting in this matter.
Political solution? We thought Bush had appointed a patriot who would defend the rights of citizens and he turned out to be a demomole & backbiting weasel.

Until then, I continue to treat this as a used car sale: I want Mitt wondering on the first Monday night in November if he sold us conservatives or not.
I want him knitting his brow, wondering, “Did I provide enough assurance (to those cantankerous `flyover’ states) that I would protect the unborn, the 2nd amendment, our nation’s status as a sovereign nation & as the leader of the free world,” and so forth and so on and on.
Of course we’re going to back him. It’s the devil or the deep blue sea: the rock and a hard place; it’s the Hobson’s choice we face.
But if we walk onto the used car lot and drive a car and look it over and say, “OK, this one. I want it. Name your price ... “
It’s incredible to me how many freepers are taking just exactly that position, acting like the loudmouthed spouse with the husband wanting to dicker for the best deal he can get:
“Quitcher arguin’ Harry! I want this one. Write the man a check!” The only way this argument can be rebutted is if the position is taken that Romney is a proven conservative, or at least does not have a “progressive” record.
Having said all that .... I won’t support Romney because ..... and any of you who say I’m being difficult, or that Justice Roberts was a “victim” or that he was actually masterminding the “Affordable Care” act to help working, productive Americans by siding with four yellow-dog Democrat justices, well—there are your lips, right there on your face, and here’s my fat a** on my backside, so you know what you can do.
