They say that unless “brave and radical decisions” are taken now, the NHS will be flooded with tens of thousands of elderly people who could be cared for elsewhere, costing the taxpayer millions of pounds a year.

Almost a million older people in need of some form of care do not receive it because their needs are not considered severe enough need or do not qualify for financial support, it has been estimated.

"do not qualify for financial support..........as Palin said.

Exactly correct. Its like we are not "guessing" or presupposing the outcome. All one has to do is look around and see the results of all those that have tried before.

Its a no brainer, except to those who have no brain!

“do not qualify for financial support..........as Palin said.”

Very ‘diplomatically’ stated.

Folks is this where we really want to go?

One of the most dreadful consequences of nationalized health care (apart from the dreadful health care, of course) is that the public debate becomes just the same as it is for the public school system in the United States.

Endless budget battles, incessant calls for more money, terrible results, an entrenched bureaucracy; but never any reform which would actually, you know, reform.

I dread it.

Very well stated. Reform is nothing more than the same ole thing.

I suppose if about 42 million taxpayers decide they did not want to play anymore and not pay any taxes, ya know a good old fashion tax revolt. I wonder if anyone would notice.

Yes, many would pay a huge price, but then what is the cost of freedom and the freedom of choice.

Given that Britain's population is about 60 million I'd be surprised if there were 15 million people there actually paying taxes. The rest sponge off of those 15 million.

A sure way to make healthcare unavailable is to make it free.

My bad. the 42 milion as part of a tax revolt was directed here in the United States. We need a good old fashion tax revolt.

Your point is well taken and absolutely correct.
