I’m tired of speculation. I’m tired of Obama and the liberals. I’m tired of nobody caring about Holder being held in contempt.

Let's not forget the Security Leaks
What ever happened to that scandal

You make a good point about not wanting more federal interference, but GOP needs to define the alternative in ways that resonate. McConnell was totally ineffective in describing GOP health care proposition that would get any traction.

Look what we miss when we don't watch Face the Nation:

CBS News: Roberts Was Going to Overturn obamacare But Changed His Mind

"CBS News broke a huge story on Sunday's Face the Nation concerning the Supreme Court's Thursday ruling on ObamaCare. ........

After listening to Chief of Staff Lew they are scared to death of being labeled as having passed the largest tax bill ever.the rats have Senators up for reelection if they have to run as big tax and spenders its over for some of them.

Just thought of something

Does it matter why it was voted to be Constitutional

Or

Can they just say it was ruled as such period

Roberts wrote the opinion that it was a tax but my understanding is the libs on the court used the commerce clause

If opinions set the precedent how can that be because he was the only one stating it

What a bag of worms

Now a tax is a penalty, you are penalized by threat of fine or jail if you don’t purchase the right plan you will go to jail. Yeah, that is better than saying tax.

What a bag of worms

I agree wholeheartedly and because of this, it is really a very historic decision that will go down in history the way you explained it.

I believe Roberts really stepped on his... er, worm. History will say so. The Left will have their huzzah moment but after this wears off I think they'll have second thoughts. After a time, this decision will come to be a heinous one to them.

To us conservatives, it already is a heinous decision! That won't change over time.

Roberts decision will get picked apart by both the Left and the Right and go down as a very ill-advised and irrational argument--in other words, stupid.

So there, John, is your legacy. In the future, people will say of the Supremes, "Will they pull a Roberts?", meaning a bone-headed argument.

Now, eventually this will have to be revisited. Either a more conservative court will rescind it, or a more liberal one will reject it and put the mandate under the Commerce clause.

The one thing we'll as a people have control over is who we subsequently elect to office, and the pressure we bear on them to appoint judges to make the correct decisions.

So I'm not ready for the ammo box yet; we still get another chance to use the ballot box. If however, Obama is reelected then I will call on my very conservative state of Alabama, and other states of her thinking, to secede from the Union of Tyranny that has become the federal monster under Obamacare.

And yes, I am serious. Audemus Jura Nostra Defendere!

That should read: to secede from the federal monster that has become a Union of Tyranny under Obamacare.

the day the SCOTUS ruling came out I was walking with a neighbor and was having an energetic discusssion about the ruling. Another person was walking near us and smiled. He then said, “I’m very happy with the ruling.”

I said, “Really????”
He answered “Yes, I want our healthcare to be like it is in Sweden.”

I was not in the mood to have a normal discussion so I just yelled back” Sweden doesn’t have 12 million illegals to put on their healthcare! Sweden is a lot smaller than the US.”
and I walked away in disgust.

He answered “Yes, I want our healthcare to be like it is in Sweden.”

When I get that dribble I ask the person if they would like to trade their house in for an apartment and socialized medicine. Then i hear crickets. I know many professional families in Europe that live in 800 sq. ft. flats. That is the reality of socialized medicine. Liberals believe in the fairy tale that they can have their socialized medicine cake and eat it to. No chance. Either the people or the government have the majority of the economic resources. No way to cut that baby in half.

I think the DNC game plan will be to move on like Jack Lew was trying to do this morning. It’s their best option since they couldn’t defend obamacare before it became a tax and now its like garlic on a wooden cross hanging around their neck, burning a hole right into their flesh.

Good question. Spinmaster Lew is already trying his best to spin out of it being a tax saying you can call it whatever you want but so far everyone he told that to stephy, wall ass fat candy, told him to go pound sand and had a good laugh since they knew dam well what he was up to.

Ten bucks a litre for petrol,a 500 sq.ft flat, muzzies telling them what to do burning their tiny assed cars and no hope in sight. Wow, I envy Europe.

I agree. I really like Ryan.

But I just read some stuff that made me think he was leaning Pawlenty.

Ryan could really help Romney on the financial side.

“3.Those who want to get rid of ozerocare have to explain how no one will lose any benefits that they have now.this has already been proven a lie as many are losing the coverage they have now since it gets too expensive under zero care.”

Yes - some things that Republicans HAVE to start widely educating the public about are: a) not only will millions NOT be able to keep the plan they have (which BHO lied about), but care will become more scarce (and rationed) due both to government panels and lack of providers; b) ALSO that Ozerocare contains half a trillion $ in Medicare CUTS as well as people’s taxes not only going way up for this fiasco but they’ll now double that increase; c) three of the biggest ways to cut health care costs is to allow us to shop across state lines (promotes competition), tort reform (limit sky-high lawsuit awards), and aggressively, seriously devote manpower and funds to go after waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid. Ozerocare does none of this; and d) start talking about more of the bad things in this law that have nothing to do with health care but will hit people hard such as the 3% real estate tax.

People really, really need educating - whenever and wherever possible. There are plenty of great arguments to slap the Dems down on - Republicans and conservatives with microphones just need to start doing it!
