Republicans to press "Fast and Furious" suit
WASHINGTON | Sun Jul 1, 2012 1:11pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives plans to file a civil suit in federal court in the next several weeks over the Obama administration's refusal to give Congress documents about a failed gun-running probe, House Speaker John Boehner said on Sunday.

The Justice Department said on Friday it would not prosecute Attorney General Eric Holder after he was cited a day earlier by the Republican-led House for contempt of Congress for withholding some documents related to the probe. Holder heads the department.

"We are also going to file in District Court a civil suit over the issue of executive privilege," Boehner told the CBS program "Face the Nation."

"I would expect that to be coming in the next several weeks, but it needs to happen," Boehner said.

The lawsuit could lead to a prolonged court fight while a judge weighs the House demand against the Obama administration's claim of executive privilege to protect the documents.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm cynical because too often, we have been bent over by the both Parties, both Houses of Congress, and now, even the SCOTUS so many times but, I don't think this will go anywhere. This is all a waste of time. Per the Constitution, Congress has the authority, after the Contempt Vote succeeded, to arrest Eric Holder.... It has been done before in the past. (Do a Google search.) But, John "Crybaby" Boehner says that they absolutely will not arrest Holder. So, this is just the GOP House trying to make out like they are tough guys looking out for us, when they really nothing but a bunch of pu**ies.

God, I hate politicians.

This article is a joke!!! As is most articles from Reuters about the idiot in the White House and his commandants.
The article was replete with excerpts from defenders of Holder. I hope when this is all over that Holder is Holding his ....., in jail.
No where in this article is there any information about Chairman Issa’s ammunition and why he and Boehner are pressing for the documents. There is evidence that this was a criminal act, on it's face. This is as shameful a period as I've ever lived through in this country, and that's been a long long time. These are what revolutions are made of. I don't doubt that Obama wants to get normal people so pissed that they start to act irrational. That was the plan with F&F. So why not??

On June 8, Attorney General Eric Holder assigned the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ronald C. Machen Jr., and the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland, Rod J. Rosenstein, to lead criminal investigations into recent instances of possible unauthorized disclosures of classified information to the New York Times.

Conservative blogger Duane Lester noticed that Machen is an Obama donor and in fact an early one: “Machen donated $4,350 to Obama’s campaigns. He gave $250 to Obama’s U.S. Senate campaign in 2003, a year before Obama, then an Illinois state senator, emerged on the nation’s political radar, according to campaign finance records.”..
