I’ve said this before and I say it again. The GOP Convention ends August 30. The Dem Convention ends September 6. Romney will get a HUGE boost from the Convention. Obama will have less than a month to overcome his lead and it won’t happen. In 2008, the Dems had their Convention first. Obama got a big Convention boost; McCain never caught up.

Not exactly. McCain led until late September when the market tumbled and he briefly suspended his campaign. He never recovered from that. Convention bumps have a tendency to dissipate quickly.
