Ha! If we call Free Republic, “The Constitution” he won’t understand what he is reading...
They would never had gotten 0bamacare if passed if it was called a tax.
And that POS John Roberts knew that.
save them nails....never know when ya gotta slam some boards up cause some corn field gets all bent
HA! I just chuckled a little too loudly for that.
And the only thing Roberts gave us was a huge tax, more illegal immigrants AND tons of heartburn.
I’m sorry about your dog :(
John Roberts acted in such an activist way, and the fact he fails to understands that enrages me. And shame on Bush, and Rove for giving us Roberts. He is more interested in his “legacy” than the Constitution. I have no empathy for him whatsoever.
And I have no empathy for the people cheering this decision, who’ll be crying in the streets when they realize their ailments won’t be taken care of; or when their loved ones go without lifesaving drugs because their lives aren’t “valuable”.
I’ve read too much Sloop and this will prove it but, heartburn is weightless
thank me
Thank you. He was a loyal and dear friend, who even in his pain sought to comfort us. I’ve never known a more tender soul.
LOL.
I just wonder why John Roberts think we fought the Revolutionary War, if we were just going to turn around and form a government that cedes unlimited taxing power to its legislature.
I just read what the part of that article posted on FR. Did it say how many states it would take to nullify 0bamacare for the whole country?
I don’t get how a group of people who celebrated John Roberts as the greatest thing since sliced bread. There was plenty of proof that he was not the most conservative out there but most did not heed the warning. He has the crown jewel to most and now he is the worst guy in the World...Even Reagan did some things that at the time would have curled the toes of some FREEPERS but he was able to overcome those. John Roberts may just be the God next Supreme Court decision. We have no idea at this time. I don’t remember him voting against the conservative at any other time. Plus I thought we didn’t want people who only voted their party line. Don’t we berate the liberals when they do that?????
He just sided with the liberals over the Arizona illegal immigration law and gutted all the teeth to enforce it.
Seems to be a rather sudden shift on Roberts’ part, but an alarmingly disappointing one.
In other news, Anderson Cooper comes out of the closet . . .
I don’t get your first sentence fragment, but I think I can follow where it is going. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can speak for myself. I never celebrated John Roberts, and was, and remain upset that Scalia was not appointed Chief Justice.
I could care less about Party lines. How many times have the “liberal” justices crossed “party” lines? How many times have we been surprised by an opinion of a liberal justice? Never.
This has nothing to do with political philosophy and everything to do with how one interprets the Constitution. I could care less if he decides in his next opinion that x y or z and suddenly becomes a strict constructionist; he’s proven that he isn’t. I don’t care if he’s pro choice, pro life, if he is pro mandate, anti-mandate. His personal political opinions don’t mean squat. It’s all about whether a piece of legislation is constitutional or not.
He was in???
Yeah, big surprise, huh?
Who knows what’s next; we might find out the Pope is Catholic or something.
His closet has louvered doors...
exactly...Cooper did not come out the closet, the closet came out of Cooper
Guess his talk show must not be doing well in the ratings if he’s announcing his sexuality now.
I read that 2% of the population is homosexual. It seems as if 98% of that 2% resides in Hollywood.
