(CNSNews.com) – There is no better place than church to talk about political issues because they are ultimately moral issues, First Lady Michelle Obama told a church gathering on Thursday.

“To anyone who says that church is no place to talk about these issues, you tell them there is no place better – no place better,” Obama told the African Methodist Episcopal Church’s 49th general conference, held in in Nashville, Tenn.

“Because ultimately, these are not just political issues – they are moral issues,” she said. “They’re issues that have to do with human dignity and human potential, and the future we want for our kids and our grandkids.”

The only thing worse than a dumb heifer is an arrogant, overweight, malproportioned dumb heifer.

I was at a LIONS meeting the Thursday after the 2004 election. One of the members, in violation of the Objects governing meetings questioned if allowing Evangelicals to vote violated the separation of church and state.

OK so let’s talk about abortion, traditional marriage and school choice, right?

As well as including the persecution/cleansing of Christian and all non-Arab, non-Muslim minorities throughout the world as well as in what the first lady identified President Obama's home country, Kenya (video).

How does the Obama family know what goes on at church? They only went to listen to Rev. Wrlght’s racist rants so BO could get votes in Chicago and haven’t darkened the doorway since. I suppose that will change now that he’s running for re-election.

She’s right, but only because she knows the IRS will only go after churches that diagree with her. Is there the tiniest chance Rev. Wright’s church will ever be investigated by the IRS for political activity, or any other black church for that matter?

Subject of sermon at my wife’s church yesterday was:

Freedom is not free.

Given by the pastor who is a retired naval aviator.

Furthermore, to back up the message, for the recessional, the organist played the anthem from each of the armed services and vets were encouraged to stand while their’s was playing.

I think I need change churches.

I hope someone asked why he singled out Evangelicals. (not to mention suggest that he take a long hard look at the constitution

How bizzare. Sounds like a cult.

It’s the second oldest religion; it’s called “humanism”, and it began with the phrase “you will be as gods, knowing good and evil”.

The trouble is, she is talking about liberal redistributionist politics which has no moral biblical foundation. To the contrary, such constitutes “coveting” and is prohibited by the bible.

Absolutely vomit worthy.

Because we know, from the New Testament, that all of the early Christian evangelists, like Paul, John, Peter, and James, spent most of their sermons focusing on their Roman oppressors, and Caligula, Claudius, and Nero...

When Paul wrote in his first letter to the Corinthians that he was determined to make known nothing onto them but Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, he was obviously speaking code that he would be devoting his preaching to how the Romans were wrong in their oppression and abuse of the poor and downtrodden. His focus was on the seen, and not the unseen. Because although the seen is temporal, and the unseen is eternal ... it was best to exult the temporal so we could have a 'good time' now...

These White House geniuses need to stop talking about things which they have no understanding (nor desire to understand)... Their Theology begins and ends with their belief that 'Theo' equals themselves.

To: Nachum; All; everyone

As it pertains to the subject of the thread, I just read the latest book from Hilmar von Campe “Defeating the Totalitarian Lie”.

I will highly recommend everyone reading this book. I learned of it when someone posted a thread announcing the passing of the author. Being my mother still today will not talk about what she experienced being raised in Nazi Germany, this gave me a huge insight. But that is only the beginning of the book. He goes on to describe how the same things that caused the German population to be blind to the truth are in fact still going on today in our country. Most notable of his hated organizations is the ACLU.
