State Sen. Mark Leno is pushing legislation to allow a child to have multiple parents.
"The bill brings California into the 21st century, recognizing that there are more than Ozzie and Harriet families today," the San Francisco Democrat said.
Surrogate births, same-sex parenthood and assisted reproduction are changing society by creating new possibilities for nontraditional households and relationships.

One day soon, we'll look back and ask: "how did this happen?" This is how. One step at a time and always to the left, which translates to 'down'. Traditional morals are first mocked and condemned, then abandoned. After that, it's just a short, quick downward spiral into utter chaos.
At this rate, its becoming increasing difficult to see how America as we know and love it can survive. The family is the heart of any society and it is being fractured into pieces with all the nonsense that is euphemistically called 'family, now. The numbers don't lie. Marriage is quickly being relegated to second class status and now, a bill that states a child can legally have more that two parents is on it's way to probable passage in nutty California.
This is were apathy and the refusal of enough good people to protest and fight against 'PC' hogwash eventually leads. Sad - but almost inevitable.

Maybe if we hit bottom fast enough then maybe we will hit bottom hard enough.
Technically speaking, it might be possible to make such a liberal state law that corporations could become the legal parent or guardian of children.
And I’m sure that liberals would be thrilled at the idea, not caring one whit if children have a decent upbringing, or if they are neurological cripples from a lack of physical intimacy when raised in pens.
Such concerns are reserved for farm animals, not humans.

I recall reading some years ago that in some European countries, legislation was being proposed (and passed) restricting the use of reproductive technology only to young married couples who had serious fertility issues:
No sperm donors/IVF for single women or lesbians, no surrogacy for hire for gay men, no older couples, etc.
This to me should be the wave of the future: Severe restrictions , to prevent the Elton John show-off syndrome.
