Rep. Blake Farenthold’s sister’s home raided

Police in Texas raided the home of Rep. Blake Farenthold’s sister, a local television station reported Monday.

KRIS TV reported that a SWAT team searched her Corpus Christi home, looking for drugs and weapons.

The police department did not immediately comment because officers were still in the field, an officer told POLITICO.

“I am saddened to learn the terrible news of the situation unfolding around my sister,” Farenthold said in a statement, released by his Congressional office.

“Tragedy has occurred in my family in the past, and I am saddened it has happened again. I trust that law enforcement officials are doing their job and I support them carrying out their duty, regardless of where it takes them. I love my sister and ask for your prayers for her and the rest of my family as we work through this very difficult time.”

Farenthold, a Texas Republican, is a freshman who snatched a south Texas seat in 2010 from longtime Democratic Rep. Solomon Ortiz.

Of all the choices in life you have one of the most important that is denied you is who you are related to.

He probably has a sister that got into drugs and spiraled down that hellhole, and now its being used against him when I bet he has done nothing but try and help her.

Most families have black sheep somewhere that embarrass us eventually, fortunately most people recognize that have the decency to ignore a relationship that is no one’s choice but God himself.

I got a feeling that this is just the beginning, my FRiend. He now has the authority to arrest and detain indefineately without trial anyone he pleases. He now has the authority to "mandate" anyone to do as he pleases, or be taxed into bankrupturcy then put in prison. This last one, coupled with those already given him by Congress, shoud give him everything he needs to take total control. Congress is now merely a figurehead. The Republican Party exists only because ours is a two party system. The real power rests with the Democrat Party. By mutual agreement of both parties.

So from this point in time forward, we are going to see what we are made of. Whether we like what we will see is another matter.

The thing is, democrates at liberal universities are the ones handing out the condoms and the drugs... so, there lay in the hypocrisy of the whole language.

Like his father who was murdered 40 years ago.

Not a big deal here. Hillary’s husband is a serial rapist and allowed the sale of missile technology to the ChiComs and no one cared

I trust that law enforcement officials are doing their job and I support them carrying out their duty, regardless of where it takes them.

Sieg Heil! Jawohl, mein Drug War Fuhrer! Jawohl! Jawohl! Jawohl!

Yes, "representative" Farenthold - the Founding Fathers were ALL ABOUT a militarized police force (whose innumerable members made $30/$40/$50 an hour).

If the jackboots brought Bono the drug-sniffing dog, your sister is REALLY up a creek.

Geez, Republican law enfarcement lovers reeally bug me.

There was also a brown substance seized which wasn’t identified at the scene.

They should try identifying it by smell. Lots of brown substance is produced in circumstances like these.

Could be the “tragedy” the Rep was referring to was his dad’s murder.

But if they found two other people and drugs, maybe ti wasn’t a warning Swat done by the “other side”.

Never.

It’s surreal how Republicans are encouraged for civility and to reach across the aisle and if one votes differently in the house they are applauded for being open minded, matured, acquired and used wisdom - and frankly it is always encouraged for Republicans, like the threats (NYT article) to Roberts and how he is lauded now in some ways by the MSM. Yet, you NEVER hear the MSM encouraging Democrats to cross the aisle, ever. The Holder contempt vote is an example as some of those Democrat defectors were excoriated in the press for their vote, before and after.

A gay Democrat lobbyist who drugged it up died with a bullethole in his head in Houston and his house was burned down to cover the tracks and that crime’s investigation and the implications never have been made public. That was something that happened several years ago.

[ Geez, Republican law enfarcement lovers reeally bug me. ]

Not many people here realize that the FEDERALLY UNDECLARED WAR ON DRUGS is also an all out war on the Bill of Rights.

The drug war should only exist on a state level NEVER a federal level. If the Federal Government was doing it’s Constitutionally mandated job the only federal involvement in the “Drug War” would only be occuring at the Borders.
