The death certificate of Elizabeth Warren's aunt Bess "Bea" Veneck, who famously told the Massachusetts Democrat that her grandfather's "high cheekbones" belied Warren's Cherokee heritage, identifies Veneck as "white" and not "Native American." Warren officially informed the state of Oklahoma of Veneck's death in 1999. William Jacobson reports:
So Aunt Bea was Indian, sharing the same ancestry as Warren, according to Warren, and that ancestry was such an important part of who Aunt Bea was that she told the story about the high cheekbones at least a thousand times.
Yet when Aunt Bea died, she was not identified as American Indian by the person who informed the State of Oklahoma about the death. That “informant” was none other than Warren, and she identified Aunt Bea as “White,” even though the Certificate of Death listed American Indian as the first of several alternatives.
It’s great to see a “deep dive” on facts surrounding liberals.

I’m part black, American Indian, and white. If there isn’t a place for checking “Multi-racial”, I check-off for white.
Checking off all three doesn’t work if the directions are: “check-off one”.
To be totally candid, I would prefer no racial identifiers.

Has she been challenged to provide a cotton swab in a Zip-Lock bag to a genetic testing lab to remove all doubt?
Unless she does that, we have to assume she is arm waving and there is no there there.
It's not wise to count 100% on the old records.
I'm not defending Warren here, I just can't figure why she doesn't pay for a DNA test and settle this once and for all, unless she knows she is making everything up.

My daughter has always filled out forms with “other” ever since she was applying to colleges. She said the the racial pigeonholing annoyed her. AFAIK, that’s her official classification.
I actually do have a 100% Cherokee G G grandmother. BFD. I despise racial categorizing. The degree to which the Democrats do it smacks of the 3rd Reich.
what more than a few lefty folks are missing is that Breitbart, Daily Caller, PJ media, instapundit, hot air etc. etc. are starting to get out more stories everyday than the MSM and Rush do all week. If only three make it each week that is a big improvement over the echo chamber of Free Republic - the word is spreading slowly but surely.
