James Earl Carter was a sincere, naive, sucker, fool ,etc., who MEANT WELL and tried to lead the country - without success.

Where the hell did you come up with this CRAP that Carter was some malleable naif? The US Naval Academy didn't produce sincere, naive, suckers, or foolish officers. USN nuke school doesn't take on the ones soft between the ears.

James Earl Carter was and has remained the smug self-righteous megalomaniac that he was when he entered the USNA. He has been stonily consistent in his world view, he just managed to keep it under cover during his time at Annapolis.

From his first day in office he did everything within his power to degrade the security and morale of the USA while showing support for EVERY marxist revolutionary effort throughout the world. Had he not installed Adm. Stansfield Turner to virtually dismantle the CIA's entire human Intel net throughout the world he might have received accurate warning about the fundamentalist Ayotollah Khomeini real agenda. The direct cause that unleashed the pan-islamic hordes that bedevil us today. Include Africa, South and Central America to those areas where he affected the spread of Soviet style totalitarianism.

Even living in Washington DC I have never attended a state funeral, but if I outlive that treasonous piece of shit from Georgia, I will make a point of seeing him off with my spit lubricating the wheels of the caisson to speed him to his final destination in hell.

JFK did nothing of note as president except stupidly risk all out nuclear war and bone Marilyn Monroe in the white house. Johnson moved all the civil rights legislation through congress and into law.

“It is no contradiction – the most important single thing we can do to stimulate investment in today’s economy is to raise consumption by major reduction of individual income tax rates.” – John F. Kennedy, Jan. 21, 1963, annual message to the Congress: “The Economic Report Of The President”

Not a bad sentiment in my opinion.

Most of the avoidable suffering in New Orleans because of Katrina was because of the ineptitude of the Democrat governor, the Democrat mayor, Democrat residents who failed to leave in time, Democrat looters, and perhaps Democrat local officials who failed to make sure the levees were in good enough condition. But the media put all the blame on Bush and Bush and the Republican Party did very little to counter that narrative.

When the massive oil spill happened in the Gulf in 2010, Obama did almost nothing and the media didn't give him any grief over it. Likewise with the Colorado wildfires or any other natural disasters since 1/20/2009--it's never portrayed as Obama's fault.

For 8 years the media waged a non-stop war against Bush (with a brief cease-fire for a few weeks after 9/11), and neither Bush nor the Republican Party ever seemed to know how to fight back. Since Obama took office, everything has still been blamed on Bush. If Obama wins, it will because a large part of the public still thinks the bad economy is Bush's fault.

My sentiments, also.

JFK was unprepared for the job, presided over the Bay of Pigs disaster, and was sized up by Krushchev in their Vienna meeting as a weakling.

This led to the Cuberan Missile Crisis, which was really finally settled by our agreeing to withdraw our missiles from Turkey.

Most of us rubes didn't even know he was a philanderer.

Whoa! Settle down my friend. I was trying to be balanced. I hated him and especially his National Security Advisor Zbig Brezensky. He did tremendous damage to the interests of the USA but in retrospect, and that is the key word here, President Obama makes him look like a lamb. That's all I am saying. I agree with and understand your wrath. I just tried to put it in milder terms but I am in agreement with you...
