Regardless of what Obama has done to this country, we will get it back and bring it back to what it is supposed to be. I believe the American people still have it in them and I won’t give up them. It won’t be easy but it will be done.

Let me wish all FReepers a very happy if not somber Independence Day. Let us all remember the Founders today and the grand plan they had for this republic. Let us all reflect on what we’ve been through these last 236 years, and let us endeavor to turn back the tide of Socialism, Fascism, and Communism that is now lapping at our shore.
That being said, I will go on record, as I have numerous times over the last 3 years, that this will be America’s last Independence Day insomuch as Obama will ensure no voting will occur in November through an eventual call for martial law and suspension of elections. As the heat goes up, both temperature and political, Obama will feel less inclined to abide by any of our laws.
My bet is still early September.

After three and a half years of Barack Obama the economy is in ruins. The regulations more oppressive. The government is more intrusive. And the future looks bleak.
And it's not just that. It's the fact that, from what I understand, everybody hates the guy, he's supposedly floundering so badly he can't possibly win the election, his AG is in danger of impeachment, etc., yet he wins battle after battle after battle and seems to have no opposition in the political class despite the fact that the people are united almost 100% against him.
How is this even happening?
America is in essence not so much a country as it is a way of life. An enemy may occupy a country. An idea is much harder to kill.

NO. America is not on the brink of collapse!
NO. Things now are not worse than they have ever been!

YES. It is likely that Republicans are going to be in charge of both houses of congress after the next election, even if the POTUS is a liberal Republican. And far more of these congressmen and senators will be REAL conservatives, not RINOs!
YES. The bureaucracy is going to be taken down a bunch of pegs, and money will be flowing back to the Pentagon.
YES. There is going to be full scale energy production again. The price of oil and gas will drop, coal will likely be re-legalized, and even nuclear energy will get a shot in the arm.
YES. This will do wonders for the economy and lift us out of the “Obama depression”.
SO ENOUGH WITH THE NEGATIVE WAVES, ALREADY!

Many countries celebrate annually a day that they won freedom from a foreign nation.
I just don't think we will be celebrating individual freedoms and liberties. Most people do not realize what freedom is. Most people do not realize freedom means individual control over an issue, not government regulation.
As government takes control over every issue and regulates it, we are no longer a free people.
But we can always sit in traffic, pay $5.00 in parking, stand in line and watch government controlled approved fireworks displays on July 4th wave American flags.

If Obama is reelected I believe that November 6, 2012 could be the last free election we will see for some time. Obama is increasingly ruling by decree, ignoring Congress and the courts and has assumed powers beyond those given to the POTUS in the Constitution. He could easily make himself dictator.
