Expect jury tampering unless the case is moved far, far away from this clique’s fiefdom. There is no justice in some of these backwater places.

I tend to believe the Marine ... The Marine’s “Duty, Honor, country” motto carries weight.

There is no justice a lot of places my friend, and I'm not certain that backwaters are any worse. I would direct you to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Sorry. “Duty, Honor, Country” comes from the U.S. Military Academy. The Corps’ motto is “Semper Fidelis”.

I see George Zimmerman doing the same. But he has a lot more people to sue.

The US Supreme Court is in fact every bit as corrupt as the US Congress or those in the White House.

I think that all members of the Armed Forces can,and should, adhere to the "Duty,Honor,Country" motto. And the Marines can,in addition, proclaim "Semper Fidelis".

For what it's worth, we're all corrupt.

Clarence Thomas gets my vote as the least corrupt in the current Supreme Court.

New Mexico is “for the gubment cheese, by the the gubment cheese, of the gubment cheese.”

Since virtually every public dollar spent there is federal money in some iteration. The cheese strings for every issue insure a federal gubment approved response to your every situation.

Although State Sovereignty is now moot, New Mexico is more like a District of Columbia than a State.

But what the he’ll, all fifty States should be renamed as Federal District #1-50.

Thanks Mom and Dad for your respect for Federal Institutions. This is what post war conservatism gave us.

Taxpayers get to pay twice. Once for their(LEOs) salary/pensions and again for their lawyer fees when they do dumb/illegal crap.

There needs to be a new way devised to actually have the department pay for these things and not always the taxpayers.

****BUMP****

Absolutely right FRiend. The entire federal leviathan stinks from the head down. The countless tentacles have encircled and enslaved what were once a free people, choking the life, liberty and property out of them.

There is but one true answer, which is to raze it all to the ground and start over again, just as Thomas Jefferson advocated.

Of course today, Jefferson would have already been arrested, indicted and convicted for uttering threats.

It is incredible... what should be thought as a shot heard round the world against crime, this Marines’ self defense, that is, he is put in jail instead.

Who is our government working for?

We can’t have citizens protecting themselves on their own property.

Punish the serf for daring to think he has liberty!

Seriously, what is with all of the cop vs. ex/current military serviceman/woman articles in the last few years? I’m beginning to wonder if they aren’t *deliberately* targeting the military in some areas.

Absolutely agree with the general statement. My comment was only about “D, H, C” not being the USMC motto.

Well I am not as corrupt as Roberts, and Jefferson did say, “A people gets the leaders they deserve”, and that’s the rub, we deserve this crap.
