I am ashamed that California is a part of the United States.

Wrong target. It's not California. It's the wackadoo infestation that's gone viral in that state. They're in the majority now, and will continue to enact contra-survival legislation until the place implodes in anarchy and violence.

I was born in California and spent nearly half a century there. I got the hell out in 2005 and never looked back. So should any other law abiding, productive, patriotic American.

We can take it back from the wack jobs after it collapses.

I’ve been beating that same drum for years now. If they ever walked around places like LA, San Diego, San Francisco, or Sacramento, they’d find that “native” Californians are as rare as hen’s teeth.

Telling most people on Free Republic that those California fruits and nuts they disparage are the kids they grew up with next door, or their long departed relative that no one speaks to anymore is a waste of time. They don’t want to hear it no matter how true it is. Of the 20 or so neighbors I have only about 6 have California ties of 1 generation or more. Hard for middle American to look at California and say “We have met the enemy and he is us......”
Honestly I don’t have a solution other than yours Ronnie. Wait until it crashes and pick up the pieces......it’s beginning to look like that will happen much sooner than later. A truely wild ride for those that take it.

I lived in Thousand Oaks from 1985 to 1989. There were still some Conservatives there back then. I probably witnessed one of the last sane political acts to take place in the state: The defeat of Rose Bird and her minions.
