Sometimes, when they say “20 people died from the heat” I have doubts.
20 people may have died *during* the heatwave, but they were likely all very old and close to death.
You can avoid dying from heat if you have a bathtub to fill with tepid water, or a source of water and a rag to moisten oneself.
