I think that everyone should take a look at this article-

http://www.redcounty.com/content/huge-favor-supremes

All this is food for thought and a certain amount joy but there’s another angle that could very well be the coup de grace.

During the run-up to bill passage, the House and Senate both introduced versions of the bill with the Democrats loudly assuring us it was NOT a tax. The House barely passed theirs. The Senate passed theirs. Then, the house version hit a snag in the Senate. So, the Democrats pulled the senate version, since it wasn’t a tax, from reconciliation and “deemed” it passed.

But wait… The Supreme Court just ruled that it IS a tax. Taxes are for raising revenue.

Article I, Sec. 7, Clause 1 of the US Constitution:

“All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”

….. OOOPSIE!

Let’s say you get that appealed all the way up to SCOTUS. Which of the Justices would you expect to reverse themselves?
