I’ve spent the last 20 minutes searching for news on his opponent Gabby Mercer. There’s almost nothing out there. MSM news blackout, it appears. She must be quite a threat to that incompetent commie. The so-called “news” outlets are despicable.

Disregard my Post #42. Wrong thread. I hate it when I do that. Need more caffeine.

Let us not forget the Former Governor of Arkansas who took advantage of the market for Arkansas Prison Blood.

“I think they will probably test the donors for HIV prior to taking their blood, don’t you?”

The problem with testing of any type is that there is a window after infection where the disease cannot be detected. So that newly infected gays will be spreading the disease. I would rather have a special “gay blood bank” where gays can donate blood to other gays if they are so insistent on giving blood.

I did my donation through the local Red Cross who stored and transported the blood and made sure it was at the hospital on the day of my surgery. It was the hospital who charged my insurance company for the blood. I made my own donation to the blood bank because they were so great about the whole process. I also try to make frequent blood donations because I have a rare type.

Even if you have an anonymous blood transfusion, there is always a charge because of the logistics involved. In my case, the need to test the blood was eliminated since it was my own. In a regular transfusion, there is work involved to test its safety and to store and transport it. There is always going to be an expense involved.

The only bad thing about my sitation, was that I donated three pints of my own blood, but used one pint. The other two had to be discarded because the blood was not screened the way a regular blood donation is. That’s a shame because my type is rare. I try to donate whenever I can.

AIDS isn’t the only STD running rampant in the “anything goes” homosexual community.

Why should the blood supply be controlled by a few select NFPs? If blood is valuable let the market take care of it. Why not pay for blood?

The BS just gets deeper and deeper. I’ve been giving blood since 1960 and am a member of the four gallon club. They have always, well before AIDS, they tell me, taken blood from queers but they set it aside and use it for things other than transfusions. One mentioned plasma but I don’t know the fine points.

If they need more blood they could simply make it less of a pain in the butt to give. They used to take the type sample from ear lobes. That, apparently was too freeeken easy so they changed to sticking a sharp wedgie in my finger. But I need my fingers and don’t want to lose a day to a sore finger tip. So I quit and can’t get a straight answer from anybody at the Red Ex as to why they can’t take a type sample from anyplace except my best finger tip——I dare ya-—just try!

Some communities have walk in, no appointment, facilities which are great, but most apparently don’t. If the Red Ex actually needs more blood they know how to get it altho it might require an anal head extraction by management. That makes it highly suspect that there is some other political/whiner component involved.

The denial is maddening.

“Safe” sex is like trying make Russian Roulette “safer” by adding a few cylinders to the revolver.

The way the world is going, we’ll have to develop a synthetic replacement eventually

THAT is an horrific scenario. There is no way I want that kind of genetic cross pollination. I would truly, rather die.

With an incubation period that could exceed 20 YEARS !!????

OK, test the faggot, then lock him in cryo for 20 years, then take him out, and test again.... and you are STILL taking a risk !!

Meanwhile, you’d be dead.

So, hell no to anyone who is swapping that kind of sewage in their system.

“A straight person who has unsafe sex with multiple partners can give blood, and that creates a greater risk than a gay person in a monogamous relationship.”

Yep. The “straw man” argument refuses to die.

Did that quote come from the article because that is twisting the noodle even more than usual.

Not positive tbw2, but I think they get credit so it reduces their cost.

According to the CDC there have been 3, THATS RIGHT, THREE!!! confirmed cases in the US as of 2010. Thats since forever. They dont say how the first 2 got it so may or may not have been by a blood transfusion or medical procedure, but the last one to come down with it was confirmed that he did NOT get it thru any medical procedure and contracted it in Saudi Arabia before he came to the US.

As of 2006 there were 200 humans who have/had mad cow / Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) / vCJD, on the planet.

Its all become way to convoluted to trust the Red Cross. They have their ties into big medicine / pharm / insurance, $$$$$$$. I dont trust any of ‘em.

I guess I need a MedAlert bracelet that says “NO. You cant have my organs. Just leave me here to die.”

Yep. I’m banned too. Maybe they should rethink their policy toward those of us stationed in Europe 20 years ago rather than open up the nation’s blood supply to homosexuals.
