The problem is they are going after gay person’s blood instead of trying to get the lazy people who can give blood to get off their butts and get down to the local red cross. However in your case, it is stupid to stop people stationed in Europe to not give blood...Perhaps that needs to be looked at too.
I was stationed in Germany 1981-83. I gave blood immediately after 9/11. The mad cow scare came only later and I am banned `until something changes’.
