Like the wanton slaughter of 40,000,000 American children for the sake of lifestyle convenience? No thanks. Killing babies is wrong. Anyone who wants to look the other way for political expedience is likely to "compromise" on just about anything. It is the nature of being a liberal Republican and it is what is slowly destroying the once-great party of Reagan.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Chris Christie is strongly and vocally pro-life, in no uncertain terms.

“I stand with you,” on opposing abortion, the governor told the crowd, and “with each and every one of those precious human lives.”

“What we need to do each and every day is to live our lives in a way that encourages everyone to understand why this cause is so important,” Christie said, according to the Asbury Park Press. ”To show that we respect the life of every human being, and that every human being is one of God’s creatures and deserves the love and respect that God gives to all us.”

“As long as I have the honor of serving as governor, you will know you will have someone sitting in that office who understands the issue, who appreciates it and will continue to stand up and speak strongly in favor for the protection of every human life in New Jersey.”

Christie said elected officials who are pro-life must “speak loudly and clearly (and) leave no ambiguity about how we feel about this issue.”

Talking about his own views, Christie added: “As you all may know this is not an issue that I always understood nor was I always on your side. It is an issue I came to grow and learn about in a very personal way. My daughter Sarah will turn 15 in February. When I heard her heartbeat at three months in our doctor’s office, it was at that moment that it became clear to me that being on the sidelines on this issue was not something I could live with. I needed to speak out in favor of a very simple idea, that that child is a life which deserves protection.”

Christie has received praise from pro-life advocates since becoming the first pro-life governor in the state since the 1973 Supreme decision of Roe v. Wade allowed virtually unlimited abortions and propelled New Jersey to become one of the states with the highest number of abortions annually. Since his election, Christie has steadfastly refused to sign a bill funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business and it has since closed three of its centers due to the taxpayer funding cuts.

PERSONAL is the operative word.

Christie's weight is none of your business.

Piss-poor behavior for a Governor.

Seems thuggish. Escalate a small confrontation into something that makes you look like a fool.

Not presidential. No thanks for me.

I can’t say ‘not VP material’ because of the current idiot VP we have.

Don’t care about his weight or ice cream, etc...

He said that New Jersey has a “hand gun problem”

Since New Jersey ranks #49 in per capita firearms ownership (only Hawaii is behind us), I'd agree with that part of his statement ...

I could care less about the aesthetics of his obesity, but if I vote for someone, I'd like to think there is a reasonably good chance that he might finish out his term. And Christie has had health problems, so I think criticism of his lifestyle choices is warranted.

Christie ran against Jon Corzine, so I would have voted for him even if he had been on hospice.

I'm "satisficing" vs "optimizing" by voting for Chrisie -- or any Republican in the state. I'd like to see a conservative in the office, but the last time New Jersey had a conservative governor was 1944. And he was a Democrat!

The least offensive thing about Christie is his obeseness.

His views of the !st and Second amendment are even more repelling than his attitude problem - adequately shown in this situation. He talks and looks more like a Mafia Hit-man than the Governor of the State of New Jersey.

I hope and pray this buffoon is not given the AG position if Romney is successful, We can expect a SPATE of prosecutions for gun “offenses” and Free Speech issues when people attack his favorite Mohammedans.

On the other hand, New Jersey has a long history of offensive looking Governors. Corzine looked like a Wal-Martian who needed a shave, a bath and some clean clothes. Jim McGreevey looked like he should have been dressed a pink ballet costume, but Chrissie Whitman was pretty hot looking despite being a Libtard.
