The GOPe delights in torturing the Tea Party folks.
But I think something else is torturing the Democrats and I think it is the base they use to have. The one with Freedom Loving citizens who believed in their country and constitution.
I think that base is almost gone, and is replaced by folks who want a Democratic Utopia with the Government taking care of ALL their needs.
Both my parents and my wife's parents are solid Democrats. And wouldn't vote for a Republican even if you gave them a thousand bucks. But I'm getting wind that they might not vote - actually not do their civic duty because they are so disillusioned with the party.
They don't like the race baiting, they don't seeing the freedoms of religion being curtailed, they don't like the idea that a bureaucrat in Washington determines what health care they get. They are uneasy with the pace of the parties change.
Most seniors at my bridge club used to always look down at anyone not democratic, now they are afraid of what is "happening to my country".
And Military Veterans, what has happened to the Military.
I think Democrats have reasons to fear this next election. Wholesale parts of the base are thinking of not voting and some have even Left the Plantation! Treasonous, don't you think?
