I meant you know his work? Mame was wonderful of course, and The Joyous Season has been a perennial favorite for many years. Little Me was silly and not well done, and I never read heard of Paradise.

:-) I thought so. (I was just being silly) Paradise might be okay if it was the first thing someone read, I guess. It’s kind of like Hotel Pastis, but not as good (imho). I bought it used from Amazon. After the Mames, How Firm A Foundation, & Joyous Season, it didn’t really “live up”. JS might be my favorite book of all time.
He is still one of my favorite authors, though. John Berendt, Peter Mayle & Jim Bouton are the others.
