The Reverend reeled off a few iconic names to make his point.The initial name intrigued me, as I remember a novel titled "The Confessions of Nat Turner" I did not read it. I did some hasty Wikipedia work.

Virginia 1831 found a rebellion by slaves lead by Turner. Sixty innocent white people were murdered. Women and children not spared. Hacked to death with axes, clubs and other handy implements. Wiki lays it on thick about the number of innocent blacks murdered in retaliation by white militia.

Turner was hanged after a trial. His dead body was desecrated and flayed. Under the Constitution, he was saved from "cruel and unusual punishment". In one certain country, he would have been flayed and tortured first- then hanged.

Reverend Wright is destroying himself with his vile hatred. I will say no more.
