Someone here recently posted an interesting article on the bridge, including interviews with people who survived. The jump itself lasts about 4 seconds. One survivor who leaped over the rail said that the moment he was in the air he decided that every problem that he previously thought was unsolvable could be solved after all, except the one problem he was currently in. A female jumper said that time did indeed seem to stand still and she had 3 or 4 chances to reflect on what she had done to herself before she hit.

Just because the catholic church hid pedophile priests doesn’t mean the entire church is corrupt today.
