Carson: Madrassa Comments Taken Out Of Context

INDIANAPOLIS -- Rep. Andre Carson said he does not advocate educating American students in Muslim principles and that his comments at a recent convention were taken out of context.

The Democratic congressman, who is Muslim, spoke in May to the convention of the Islamic Circle of North America and stressed the importance of education.

"America will never tap into educational innovation and ingenuity without looking at the model that we have in our madrassas, in our schools, where innovation is encouraged, where the foundation is the Quran," Carson told the convention.

Madrassas, the Arabic word for school, have a reputation in Saudi Arabia and Britain for teaching anti-Western values.

Carson said Monday he in no way wanted to suggest that American schools should teach Islamic principles, only that public schools might want to study the methods used by religious schools of all denominations to see why they work so much better.

André Carson - U.S. Rep for Indiana's 7th cong. district

He is the single biggest embarrassment for most of us Hoosiers, only eclipsed by his grandmother who he replaced back in 2008 in a special election.

Democrats are ALWAYS ‘taken out of context’ when they accidentally tell the truth. Then their comments are scrubbed from the Internet, including Youtube. Pretty soon there won't be any evidence this Rep said anything untoward. It's the Democrat way!

Funny how the “botched joke” and “taken out of context” only applies to dems -

I wonder if he is getting any blow back from the African American community. Maybe his reelection is in trouble?....Nah.

There should be a study of Islam in the Public Schools, the same way we studied Communism when I was in school- Know Your Enemy.

Yes, he is a disgrace given to us by Indy’s urban folks. If Obama had a brother, he would look like this guy.

His skin color guarantees his reelection in that district, just like his Grandmother who was even stupider than he is. He truly is an embarrassment, right up there with Sheila Jackson Lee and Cynthia McKinney IMHO.

If there were a transcript of the speech then people could read what he wrote and come to their own conclusion as to whether or not he was taken out of context.

As with virtually all muslims, Carson is a liar. islam seeks world domination. It’s built into it.

Rep. Carson must have missed out on the overall context of the conference he was attending. Everyone in the convention hall clearly understood speaker after speaker repeating the same hate.

Are Muslims permitted to lie?

Do Bears....in the woods?

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences."

There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman.

These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.

Muslims are allowed (nay, "Encouraged") to lie to unbelievers in order to defeat them.

The two forms are:

Taqiyya - Saying something that isn't true.

Kitman - Lying by omission.

I figured I might as well post the rest of his statement...

“God is not pleased with blood - and not acting responsibly is contrary to God’s nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats to convince a reasonable soul...”

This “backbencher” is an embarrassment to humanity. He meant what he said. I believe moozlums just can’t cover their true purpose on earth: dominance and submission or death to “nonbelievers”. When will we get to see the video of this idiot chopping off someone’s head?

Oh, yeah — the Quran is a great model for educating youngsters to succeed in a multicultural, technocratic society. Just look how well it’s working out in those economic powerhouses, bastions of tolerance, and hotbeds of innovation like Pakistan, Afganistan, and now Egypt!

Rep. Carson (D as in Dumbass).
