whenever governments tried to ‘fix’ housing and make it more affordable, the people usually end up paying more for less...

This reminds me of the apartments the Soviets built for their people in Moscow and other cities. Living hell holes, no privacy, community lavatories and kitchens and falling apart construction due to shoddy workmanship and NO maintenance. WTG there Big Apple. That's Progress with a capital "P".

the whole thing is to get you into a place that you know you’ll be leaving soon...and the more tiems the better....and for whom?
if you buy one house and live in it all your life, you pay your instection fees, closing costs, points, etc.. one time. but if you keep moving into new joints, you pay those fees, costs and expsnses over and over again. and that money is gone forever, you don’t recoup that.
so if you can be conned into accepting less, then they get to take their bites out of you every time you upgrade...

it’s a racket, and to who does the realtor’s groups give most fo their political contributions?

The Soviet pilot who stole the MIG-25 and flew it to Japan wrote a book, "MIG Pilot."

In that book he described how the Soviet government would build apartments using green wood for the structures. As the wood dried out it would warp and start to tear the buildings apart.
