A live cat was found half-buried in concrete in Arizona, an act that the man who rescued it believes to be a threatening message from a pro-polygamy religious group, according to local reports.
The kitten was found encased in solid concrete inside a metal tube in Colorado City, Ariz., a major center for the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a breakaway Mormon sect whose members practice polygamy.
In previous incidents, dead cats have been left on ex-FLDS member Isaac Wyler’s property, according to Andrew Chatwin, who discovered the trapped feline while he was building a horse shelter at Wyler’s home....
Mangled and emaciated but still breathing, the freed feline was taken to an animal sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, where it died a few days later.
Both Wyler and Chatwin have spoken publicly against the church and its former controversial leader, Warren Jeffs....

This makes me so angry as a cat lover, but as someone familiar with the FLDS and their tactics I’m not surprised.
I didn’t know you had familiarity with the flds, other than being ex-lds and making a study of mormonism. They are much more pure followers of Joseph Smith than the Salt Lake-based branch of Mormons, aren’t they.
Yes they are the true followers of Smith, not SLC.
I knew several polygs when I lived in Utah, both in and out of SLC church. My ex’s dad’s company would hire them often. I also have worked with a couple of ministries to FLDS and signed up to be a safehouse. MrR is on the list to do pro bono legal work on behalf of women leaving the FLDS also.
Why dump a poor pussy in a FLDS home. That man has more than he can deal with already. Not to mention several mothers in law.

Hey Freedom, did you know that FLDS/LDS "Prophet" Joseph Smith ripped off the plan of salvation from Emmanuel Swedenborg's book "A Treatise on Heaven and Hell" ?
The property owner Isaac Wyler is not off the suspect list. He's appeared many times in leftist media reports in the past clearly with a vendetta against FLDS. This could have been staged.
That implies an extremely grave definition of "slapped." Who knew that being slapped would get your body to room temperature?
