The NAACP’s interests are entitlements and reparations. Any sane person speaking to them is a waste of time.

If Romney was smart he would have known that and spent his time elsewhere.

A white man at an NAACP convention is only a nuisance to them.

We just had a murder on a basketball court in Williamsport, PA. The victim was a 23 year-old black man. The perps escaped.

The police were asking for witnesses (the park where the bb court is located was crowded).

The mayor showed up and started talking to a 15 year-old boy (a former student of the mayor) when the kid’s father runs up and snatches the kid away saying “we don’t talk to the police”.

The crowd started chanting “we don’t talk to the police”.

This is minutes after one of their own was gunned down by one of their own.

This is the black community today.

One could say this for Mitt Romney - he did not modify or curb his emphasis on the points he has been making so far in this campaign, just for this venue. He stressed the same agenda he has been delivering elsewhere, even though it might be unpopular with this particular audience, and pressed on through the boos and heckling (which I must say, were quite reserved, considering the liberal nature of the NAACP).

In the end, they were relatively polite, though unmoved in any way. Much better than they treated George W. Bush.

You know what? Whites need to be a BIGGER nuisance to the NAACP and the black community!

Many blacks have decided they are no longer going to participate in an ordered society. They refuse to cooperate with police, they refuse to accept businesses in their neighborhoods, they refuse to accept other races into their lives.

Many blacks are creating a dangerous situation where decent people must decide what to do with those who refuse to participate in ordered society.

Liberals love to talk about the "social contract" and how society is obligated to take care of the poor and weak. Contracts are two-sided and there is an obligation among individuals to help maintain the order in society.

Blacks could no more abandon these liberal policies and handouts that actually destroy them any more than a muslim can abandon the Koran. In the words of a noted philosopher, “stupid is as stupid does.”

The NAACP leadership are racist as are many if not most of its memebers. But even they know by now that they elected the wrong black man. Yet, they’ll vote for him again.

The NAACP and the Jacksons, Sharptons, and CBCs of this country are always seeking outside help. They expect the government to fix their problems. Well the problems are in their families, their houses and their neighborhoods. The problems will never get better until Blacks quit expecting Massa to help them and begin helping themselves. Only blacks can stop black on black crime. Only blacks can make education a worthwhile goal for blacks. Only blacks can get crime of the streets of black neigborhoods. Only blacks can lower the high rate of out of wedlock births in the black community. Only blacks can make using and selling dope unacceptable in the black community. Only blacks can make blacks think of themselves as Americans first and blacks second.

As president black Americans will be Romney's people too. It took guts to go there and say what he said. He picked more black votes than he lost.

...”As president black Americans will be Romney’s people too. It took guts to go there and say what he said. He picked more black votes than he lost.”...

I agree with you. It was great that Mitt Romney did that, knowing he would be booed, but not crafting his “message” to assuage “black views”. It made me respect him more - because, he will be President of ALL the United States, not just the blue states and democrat voters.

Contrast that with Obama, who is sending Joe Biden today to speak at the NAACP convention - Joe Biden! The dumbest, whitest fool who has ever been in politics. Obama takes the blacks for granted - but then again, Obama IS NOT black. He is a half-white elitist beneficiary of Affirmative Action preferences - the most egregious example of Affirmative Action that I can think of.

I doubt if he “lost” any black votes. He could only gain black votes by speaking before the NAALCP. It was the right thing to do and he done good, no mincing of words, no flip flopping.

Captain Obvious? He couldn't really have lost any votes there, ya know.

I can’t help but be reminded of Dave Chappelle’s “racial draft” skit as the “white man” (Chappelle made up to be the caucasian) heads to the podium... all of the minorities are hooting and hollering, booing, making noise incessitantly until the white man yells, “Quiet people, there’s a white man talking.” It was funny, but it also provided insight regarding their “community’s” projection of one-sided perpetual racism.

George Wallace: “and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever”

NAACP: “and we say reparations now, reparations tomorrow, reparations FOREVER!”

Good article. It seems the points here have been made ad nauseum regarding the utter catastrophe of the welfare state, and groups like the NAACP that perpetuate it. What more can be said? At some point, the absolute only way the truth will get through people's heads is to cut off the money that keeps it going. But I don't see that happening; to the contrary, the libs want the entire country to go the way of the "black community."

He probably came out about even.

He kept those he was going to get anyway and he probably didn’t lose any.

90% of those there will vote for Obama, just as they did last time.

Almost daily now I have a line in a song by the Dooby Brothers pop into my head, “...what a fool believes, he sees.”

Don’t that just sum up a lot of things right now??
