AP Deletes Own Absurd Texas Voter ID Claim
NewsBusters ^ | July 12, 2012 | P.J. Gladnick

Imagine how much laughter would be induced by a young person who claimed an inability to find work because he or she lacked the time to obtain a Social Security card. Even more laughable would be someone who takes the time to fly from Texas to Washington, D.C. in order to testify at a trial yet claims she can't find the time to obtain a voter identification card. Well, Henry Jackson of the Associated Press actually wrote that up with a straight face until AP was forced to delete it after the sheer absurdity of it was pointed out by J. Christian Adams of PJ Media.  Here is the AP laughline care of Adams before it was deleted in sheer embarrassment:

Victoria Rose Rodriguez, 18, told a federal court in Washington that she had limited documentation — a birth certificate, a high school transcript and a student ID card with a photo on it — but is currently a registered voter in Texas. She said her parents are too busy to take her or her twin sister to get the new voter identification cards required by the law.

Who drove Ms Rodriguez to the airport? And couldn't they (her parents?) have made a quick pit stop on the way to get her Texas Voter ID? I'm willing to bet that process takes lightning speed when compared to getting a drivers license.

Or waiting in a long line at the airport to be groped by a TSA gorilla.

But they got her to Washington DC?

AP's so open to liberal lies they didn't catch this whopper. The real story here is how was this girl 'found'. And why was the AP once again so gullible?

AP was once the gold standard of news reporting.
I know... That dates me.

And, how did she get an airline ticket? Why did the TSA allow her to board?

Jackson's story also removed the description of the type of documentation she did have, of which, lawyers said was good enough to get a voter id card

Leftists argument don’t need to make sense. Just say the sky is red, and have 5 judges to agree with you, and you win the case

One can only imagine how low an IQ the average leftist must be to swallow all the lame phony straw man arguments posed by these communists.

The Founders want the country they designed for us BACK.

also, wheres the racial discrimination? An individual who do not have a time does not make it racial. Are they implying only colored ppl don’t have the time, thus its racist?

Not after the demise of UPI. Now they just throw crap at the wall and see what sticks. Then they tell you Van Gogh painted it.

student ID card with a photo on it

She had a photo ID. It just magically appeared under her pillow. The tooth fairy brought it.

That doesn't take any time, you know.

"Victoria Rose Rodriguez, 18, told a federal court in Washington that she had limited documentation — a birth certificate, a high school transcript and a student ID card with a photo on it..."

What's odd is, according to the US District Court for DC website, https://www.dcd.uscourts.gov/dcd/entry, 100% ID Check To enter the courthouse, all visitors must show a photo ID issued by a government agency, such as a driver's license, or a bar identification card.

By the new Texas law, student IDs are not acceptable.

TSA probably accepted the ID plus the birth certificate.

This poor unfortunate wretch will never have a job! Boo hoo hoo! No one will take the time to escort her to the provider of the ID she needs for employment. No one will get her to the drug testing facility either, and for most jobs these days you have to excrete something besides BS.

No escort, no time, no job ever! And welfare will want her ID too! Boy is she in trouble and hard times.
