Billy Blythe, "King of the gypsies" (an early wagon train boss into moving pioneers West) was Bill Clinton's 5 times Great Grandfather.

That line of his family were members of the Church of the First Born and the General Assembly.

It's a cult ~ they don't take sick babies to doctors. Bill's mother became a nurse ~ if you ever really wanted to know why she dropped out.

“In Romney’s 2002 race for governor, he testified before the state Ballot Law Commission that his separation from Bain in 1999 had been a “leave of absence” and not a final departure.”

Is this enuff to cover it ?

Interesting,,,thanks!

This is kind of big, though. You wouldn’t forget a company that made you mega millions.

It sounds like a past characterization that Mitt has made, and maybe even technically correct. Trying to say that in 1999 he stopped acting in any capacity in Bain. But he still owned the place and got salary in figurehead capacity.

It’ll confuse the sheeple, though.

I didn’t get a chance to vote in a meaningful primary since Texas was disenfranchised by the court dithering over redistricting. It has all been intentional. I voted but it didn’t make a difference by then. I didn’t vote for Romney though.

Does that really have anything to do with the court problem? The fact is, if all the primaries are not taken on the same day, then the later states have less effective choices.

Why ARE the primaries staggered? Let the primary occur in the Rasmussen polls for a few months, a few debates, and then BLAM, take the vote and stop the infighting on that day.

They have their own folk medicine, don’t they.

Anyhow, so Clintbilly had gypsy blood. Puts another angle on Monicagate. Gypsies were notorious for being libertine.

Mitt's first wife was his school teacher. She was messing with him while he was a student ~ and that was against Georgia law at the time.

Today we'd put her in prison. I understand she no longer speaks to the public ~ and maybe no one else either. A sad case.

Newt was but a chil' in the hands of authority and was misled. Still, she got pregnant and Newt married her. No moral problem there.

She's the one who filed for divorce against him. Again, that's not Newt's problem, and if she'd been in jail where she belonged, there'd been no divorce either!

His second wife was caught trying to sell influence while he was Speaker. She, too, could have been prosecuted.

That wasn't what Newt was into ~ the investigators cleared him.

Now, after that sort of bad luck (he married two accused felons) do you think he waited enough before marrying Calista?

I think your problem in looking at Newt's love life is that you have not previously been subjected to all the facts. You owe him a personal apology. I happen to have two buckets of broken glass to spread on the path to get to his home if you really need some expiation of guilt.

But, what if Mitt delivered pizzas or mowed lawns while in high school or worked as a rough neck on an oil rig while in college.

Do we expect him to know those exact dates.

Clinton's problem in his trip to Ireland is they couldn't pin down exactly who his Irish ancestors were.

You have to distinguish between Travelers and Gypsies of course, but I think the Blythe family were authentic Roma who'd been pretty much Americanized at the time ~ probably by the Church of the First Born. Many of the earliest Pennsylvania records report on crimes commited by Gypsies as well as COFB congregations and members, in the same jurisdictions.

BTW, COFT prays over you ~ no folk medicine I've ever been able to find.

Mitts’ first wife was his school teacher? I thought Ann was his first and only wife.

As for Newt, I owe him nothing...I didn’t say I had a problem with his personal life, I said some people did.

I voted for him in the primary.

That's right, and what if he just doesn't remember that he was governor of Massachusetts or that he created Romneycare? Should that minor forgetfulness be used as an excuse not to vote for him for president?

The “some people” who have a problem either don’t know, or they do know and they prey on the gullibility of the part of the public who imagine Newt is a stud.

Perhaps more notably, Newt found the God he was apparently long looking for in the Catholic church, after the Baptist circles he had been traveling in let him down.

As an evangelical Christian who does not agree with all the Catholic theology, I still say that’s better for him than not having found God at all. “Baptist” is a huge tent with many divisions (nobody has control over that name), some of them just plain bogus and ungodly.

Time to get him one of those shirts where the cuffs on the sleeves have steel grommets to insert the padlocks.

Did you mean to say Newt’s first wife was his teacher?

Because you wrote Mitt...but I’m thinking you meant Newt.

Calm down Francis

It’s a nonsense left wing smear by Politico.

“FactCheck.org is standing by their assessment that Mitt Romney did not actively manage Bain Capital after February 1999, despite today’s Boston Globe report that he was CEO there until 2002.

“We see little new in the Globe piece. So far nobody has shown that Romney was actually managing Bain (even part-time) during his time at the Olympics, or that he was anything but a passive, absentee owner during that time, as both Romney and Bain have long said,” Brooks Jackson, a co-author of the FactCheck piece, told POLITICO today.”

Well, yes it does make a difference since Texas attempted to move their primary up to be more meaningful.

And yes, it would make sense to do it one day instead by drips. The creeping commitments seem very foolish to me and always have.

It also all starts too early.

Mitt has done more in his life than we will ever know, maybe delivered pizzas, maybe he worked as a Diesel Mechanic prior to that Olympics thing.

Dates are not important.

WE Conservatives did not rig certain States to be open primary States... reince preibus...a romney man... did. We Conservatives did not play loose and fast with Electors and how certain states count their votes... preibus did. We Conservatives did not conspire with certain Secretaries of State to keep the number one and number two challengers off of the ballots in those States... and we did not spend 10’s of millions of dollars in attack ads in Florida... meant to destroy Newt Gingrich with distortions and outright lies. All we Conservatives did was to measure every candidate against what we demand in a candidate in this election and facing the dangers that we face today. That is a right and we owe no one our vote that does not earn it.
