So Romney was creating jobs and wealth longer than he claimed. He could have been rabble rousing like Obama. Romney is going to win big come November.

Dates are not important.

Well, to Romney's fans, the dates are crucial because they were hoping that Romney really did leave Bain Capital before that company got into the business of trafficking in the bodies and little boys and girls murdered in abortion mills. That's why Romney was claiming he left Bain in 1999 (before Bain became involved in the abortion industry). It has now become clear that Romney was lying when he said he left the company in 1999. In fact, he was still the company's sole owner at least through 2002.

This information is important to conservatives. Not all Republicans are conservative, not all Republicans are Christian or even religious. Not all Republicans are opposed to abortion, but most conservatives are.

Pretty sure this info was already known.

Romney never denied he wasn’t owner, just that he had taken a leave of absence and was not actively managing the company.

I’m not a Mitt fan myself, but the Mitt haters need to realize this isn’t the silver bullet that will bring him down.

My opinion of your comments is that you have little understanding about the mechanics of CEO transitions. This lack of knowledge is evident to many FReepers and it may lead to people thinking that you are ignorant about many things, in addition to the things you are clearly ignorant about.

"The dilemma is, do we choose to ignore the bad things about Romney, such as this story just for the sake of ABO? Does that make us any better than the Rats? "

If he was a significant improvement over obama even with numerous faults, I'd say we vote the lesser of two evils. But I just don't see that significant difference.

The few points Romney scores seems to be outweighed by the fact that we will be stuck with Romney for 8 years, and the GOP will be blamed for Romney's policies.

I'm still headed third party. With hopes that the Checks and balances hold if Obama wins, and hopes that a third party swamps the GOP in 2016 if Romney wins.

Accusing Bain of outsourcing jobs overseas is attacking the symptom rather than the cause of outsourcing which are highest corporate tax on the globe, overregulation, and unions. Which would you rather invest in the Romney Bain model or the Obama Solyndra model? Having said that, there is zero evidence that Bain outsourced any jobs overseas while Romney was active CEO other than a startup call center for one of their businesses they located in India to service Indian customers.

Corporations are not government, nor national entities, they have no loyalty to nations. Shareholders are now located across the globe, the genie is out of the bottle, and it cannot be put back in.

I’m not a Mitt fan myself, but the Mitt haters need to realize this isn’t the silver bullet that will bring him down.

There will be no one silver bullet that reduces Mitt's support to zero. This particular silver bullet only demonstrates again that Mitt is untruthful. As you can see from the posts here, many of Mitt fans are still hanging on pretty tightly.

There'll be more than enough silver bullets to make sure that Mitt loses in November. And that's what matters most.

It will be death by a thousand cuts. Until people decide to go with the "devil they know."

A lot of people are suffering from Obama’s economic policies. For that reason alone I will vote for Mitt in order to improve the lives of the average Amerian citizen.

AMEN!

If I understand you correctly, you’re claiming that because of the mechanics of Romney’s CEO transition (as you call it), Romney was ignorant about the business of the company he solely owned. Well, he’s your candidate, not mine, so if you wish to insist that he was ignorant, I shouldn’t waste my time trying to prove you’re wrong.

Maybe Romney can clear this all up with a short statement: “I didn’t know what Bain Capital was doing for those three years when I owned it. I was ignorant, I tell you. Honest.”

How is Mitt being untruthful? This is a baseless charge by a left wing source. You are carrying the water for the obama’s team.. maybe DU would be a better place for you.

Mitt ~ no, not Mitt. NEWT ~ but the response was to a complaint about Newt.

Will do better in the future, and if I can find an extra wife for Mitt I'll let everybody here know about her.

In case you haven’t noticed Obama isn’t gaining any traction with this nonsense, even the DemonRats are calling him out on it. I hope they keep it up because the Kenyan is going to lose big.

When we look at these stories about Mitt it is decidedly UN-FREEPERLIKE to denounce them simply because they come from disreputable tertiary sources ~ go to the ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS ~ see what they say.

At the moment the Mittbots got a problem they have to resolve with evidence.

I have no doubt they'll come trotting in with something they want to show us, but for the moment, there're these other documents showing different dates ~ so don't imagine that a cover-up attempt will fail to be noticed (actually, we expect the Mittbots to always claim "bad source", "different story", or "somebody else's fault" ~ in roughly that order before they get into actually reviewing the circumstance.)

And the Mittbots want us to imagine they and their boy are better than Obama and his crowd. All same thing.

Plus, and this is a very important part, no one who is involved in the abortion business ~ even if it's only to facilitate their clean-up ~ can be a Christian. I don't mean "real Christian" with all the relative values issues and so forth ~ you just can't be a Christian.

That he is now and was then a Mormon becomes very, very, very tertiary to the question of whether or not Romney is a Christian!

His ownership of a company facilitating the practice of abortion writes him OUT of Christian society.

If Newt had won, you’d have no complaints about the system, right?

If Mitt Romney has a legitimate exculpatory explanation for all this, he can and will hold a press conference and get this behind him. If he doesn’t, then, well, he just doesn’t. He’ll still have his liberal base.

We’ll just have to wait and see if the news today smokes him out of the bushes.

Sam, that's just CRP and you know it. The fact is 16 individuals notified the RNC they were going to be running for President.

ONLY THREE ~ count 'em, 1, 2, 3 ~ of those candidates were lifelong Conservative Republicans.

There's a question mark beside the name of the other 13. They were major Democrat donors, Democrat candidates, Democrat campaign workers, Democrat office holders, or actually members of some other party than the Republican or Democrat parties.

So, what were those 13 doing? Well, they were peeling off debate time from the Conservative candidates, and wasting resources that should have been available for real Republican candidates.

Their presence in the race at any level served to dissipate the vote and allow Romney, a 20% sort of guy, to look better.

Be interesting to see whose campaign debts were paid off first ~ Bachmann's sure seemed to be no later than second eh! (just for example).
