And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!
The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.

If this is true Romney must have some internal polls telling him it’s ok to alienate conservatives. He’s going for the rino / indy / lesser-of-two evils voters and they must be overwhelmingly anti-Obama.
I really dont think this is a trial balloon with all the clues [ann romney sayin “a woman”...idiots applauding rice in utah....romney at naaclp convention yesterday and today the name rice leaks? The bushies were pushin’ hard for one of their ilk...rice/portman/jeb/rubio and now it looks like they gets one of thems. She sais NO already but it looks like they are begging her.

Errrr...are we missing something here? I saw a recent interview with Condi Rice and she said absolutely no way she would accept the VP nod.
I could support Condi.
She was the one who pushed for elections in Gaza, the West Bank, and Pakistan. Brilliant! Just brilliant!
