Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.
And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!
The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.

Romney is a real “stand up guy.”
He sees which way the political wind is blowing and it says he needs a black as VP so more blacks will vote for him.
This racial crap has to end. Why can’t he choose someone regardless as to sex or race who REALLY will serve well as VP?
Romney is the spineless jellyfish I’ve always thought he was. He chooses someone based on race and not qualifications.
If elected you can bet he will throw us all under the bus just to stay in office.

1) Too closely tied to Bush
2) She’s a Rino
3) She’s an academic
4) She’s too weak!

It will probably be worse than that. She’s a vestage of the Bush Administration, and the preception of Bush in his 2nd term is largely why we have the disaster in the WH now. This is such a flaming fiasco I almost wonder if these RINOs aren’t intentionally trying to throw the thing....AGAIN.

yep, rice is totally overrated and no wonder she said NO. But, the rino’s are pushing for her and I believe it is a distinct possibility. Romney is an idiot rino and now wants another rino with no ambition to be VP, no qualifications, no fire in belly etc. I am sick.
Doesn’t make any sense to take her instead of Jindal if Romney is going for an ethnic pick. Jindal has great academics, run a state, pro-life, actually run for office, etc.
Condi won`t be the pick.. this is a misdirection. Look for Romney to pick another current or former governor. Susana Martinez (NM) would be a great choice.

If Romney picks her that is fine with me. I’m going to support him and whoever he picks. We have to get rid of Obama.
I don’t know why everyone keeps mentioning Condi’s name as she has repeatedly said that she has NO interest in running for said post or any other.
I believe her.
Personally I would love to meet her and discuss various subjects but I think that she truly has no interest in pure politics but rather in the technical aspects of the system.

She didn’t say she voted for Obama. I don’t believe it. Obama campaigned against every single one of her policies and the democrats accused her of being guilty of war crimes. In that video she was just being polite. Bush made a similar statement.

You can bet this will go through the news cycle and many focus group studies will be done to see if it 1.) is a winner for the mushy middle moderates 2.) alienates any of the base 3.) does well in swing states. If there are any problems, they drop her and try again....no no Drudge, we are serious this time LOL
The Romney camp are using Drudge like a puppet and he’s dumb (desperate) enough to let ‘em. They think “Who cares if his once every two year ‘exclusive’ turns out to be BS anyway, it’s just crackpot Drudge...”
