President Obama's biggest mistake in his first term? Republicans probably have a quick answer involving the words "health care," but Obama himself got a little abstract about the subject in an interview with Charlie Rose of CBS:
"When I think about what we've done well and what we haven't done well, the mistake of my first termcouple of yearswas thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that's important. But the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times."
"It's funnywhen I ran, everybody said, 'Well he can give a good speech but can he actually manage the job?' And in my first two years, I think the notion was, 'Well, he's been juggling and managing a lot of stuff, but where's the story that tells us where he's going?' And I think that was a legitimate criticism."
When Rose asked him whether he meant he needed to explain himself better, Obama replied, "explaining, but also inspiring."
Mitt Romney: In a quick response spotted by the Weekly Standard, he says the presidency isn't "about telling stories," it's "about leading."

Obama, The Poor Communicator
That’s pretty much ALL he’s been doing since Day One, is telling fictional stories...
He’s lied so much, he actually BELIEVES himself now.
when I was a kid, we were not allowed to use the phrase, “You lied!” We said, “OOOO. You’re in trouble cause you ‘made up a story’.”
Silly, yes, I agree, but...
I’d say Obama told us MANY stories during his 2008 campaign and during his 3.5 year reign of terror that I PRAY will come to an end in January!
Everything about Obama is ‘a Story’.
He is a fabrication. worse than anything from the Grimm Fairy Tales.
All he does is butt into daily TV programming & spoil the ending to some series we have watched all season.
I wonder if I will live long enough for the real facts about Barry the Imposter to surface.
Tell a lie long enough and people will eventually believe it as truth...... =.=
As far as I’m concerned, he’s told quite a story, you know, about being born in Hawaii and all.
Not the problem - the real problem is the stories he’s told that are helpful are lies and the stories he’s told that are destructive, he does.
Every time he opens his mouth he tells stories - as in LIES!
