I've been thinking during the break because this story broke on my watch -- can you imagine? This is actually bad politics not only will Romney be defending Bain right up through the election now he's going have to be defending Bush and Bush's policies right up through the election. This is a bad idea. No offense, Condi Rice.
Didn't they say throughout the Republican primary we had a nominee Romney because he's the only one who could win? Why am I the only one remembers that?
And these polls, don't they make you nervous right now? The economy's on its back. Romney's running against a true loser who has nothing to offer the country, literally nothing. So he's a propagandist. So far the Romney team has not been able to cut through it and then you get this John Sununu -- who gave us Souter for all those years -- walking around like he some kind of smart uncle telling us they are husbanding their resources are just waiting for the right time to unleash on Obama.
Obama's spending the summer trying to define Romney, successful or not, and Romney's not spending the summer trying to define Obama, which he must do. So here we are debating Bain capital. And then we'll be debating RomneyCare. And if he does pick Rice, then will be debating the entire George W. Bush record which is exactly what the Bush people want. Well it's not what I want.
Now pick a damn conservative whose managed something. He's got a strong bench to choose from and stop playing

Col West is such an obvious choice that Mittens probably rejects it out of hand.
If he picks Condi, I will cast my vote against Obama and then get busy picking my candidate for the primary challenge in 2012. My take on this story is that it is nothing more than a slow news day distraction. Romney has pledged to pick a pro-life VP candidate.
My money says that the dims are behind this push for Rice.

Allen West is my choice for VP too.
Think about it. When Obama supporters criticize VP Candidate West then the Romney campaign can accuse them of racism.

Perhaps Mitt does not want a lightening rod such as Mrs Palin or VP Cheney became/were painted. But get another milque toast as himself? Hell, bring back J Danforth or Ed Muskie.
Dr Rice is a damn academic and micro manager. She will be chewed up and spat out as President of the Senate by even the most feeble politician.
If the concept is to get an African-American or of non white race on the ticket, there are more politically astute out there.
Even if he does pick a conservative VP running mate, I doubt I’ll be voting for him.

Actually I’d rather see him as the presidential nominee.
The evidence continues to reveal itself my point about everyone being herded into choosing Romney, the CHOSEN nominee by Obama and the MSM.
It is a foregone conclusion in my book that November doesn’t matter anymore, and hasn’t for a long time.

Mr. West would be nothign less than outstanding.
I’m not interestd in Rice in any way.
However, despite that, if he picks her I’ve no choice to to vote for them.
