I hear you. I did my 30+years in Philly. Taxes drove me out. Democrats stunk up the place. At least I lived in a fairly socially conservative working class neighborhood.

Lost home due to loss of job and after two years of waiting for any solid offers to come along finally sold my home, moved back to Philly to watch over a now 95 year old mom, who I did not want to uproot due to church and remaining family members on her side. The section 8 really screwed up many neighborhoods in the lower NE. I wouldn't even consider taking a walk around my area at this point. The Good Lord gives and the Good Lord takes away as it please HIM.
I try my best to count the many blessings I still have been provided with.
