There is no doubt in my mind Condi Rice voted for Obama in 2008. She refused to say who she was voting for and got all teary eyed talking about his victory. How you you put someone who voted for your opponent 4 years ago on the ticket as your VP? A Condi Rice choice would be insane and alienate the base. http://www.bluegrasspundit.com/2012/07/flashback-2008-condoleezza-rice-wont.html
That’s what I keep telling these people
I don’t know if she did, and I hear ya. Not being African-American, I wouldn’t know what that occasion would cause me to do if I were and allowed myself to get swept away by the sheer notable historic significance, but I sure know of plenty of over 50ish African Americans from friends and colleagues who’ve told me it was super monumental ... that they could say they’d voted for the first, blah blah blah.
If she did, and now has seen the terrifying truth and the light, as so many have finally .. who knows what that portends in her resolve once again to work to keep us and our wondrous and beautiful America free and safe from the evildoers.
I guess she succumbed to tribalism, which many of us do not feel. I work with a Jewish guy (and am in a carpool with him). He's conservative, but he would vote for Joe Lieberman in a heartbeat. I've tried to explain that Lieberman is a total lib and was only moderately conservative in supporting the WOT. In all else, he's a total lib. This guy was excited that McCain might pick Lieberman as his VP in 2008 (i would not have voted for McCain if he had). Never underestimate the power of tribalism in people who see themselves as traditionally downtrodden.
