Poles honor Reagan and John Paul II for their role in anti-communist struggle

GDANSK, Poland — Polish officials unveiled a statue of former President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II on Saturday, honoring two men widely credited in this Eastern European country with helping to topple communism 23 years ago.

Ironic, in light of these awards, that the current American president is doing his level best to inaugurate a communist regime in America, and that he was voted into office by a nation that sacrificed endless blood and national treasure to defeat that very - and intensely parasitic - national policy.

Live long enough, see everything.

Perhaps there’s a fund we could contribute to to get a statue of Maggie Thatcher put up nearby. The three of them deserve the credit.

And Lech Walesa, founder of the Solidarity movement that led the anti-communist struggle in Poland, has often paid homage to both men and told the AP in a recent interview that he deeply respected Reagan.

“Reagan should have a monument in every city,” Walesa said.

Yes, yes he should.
