You completely miss the point. You can’t see what actually took place.
Hank Greenburg is a zillionaire. He is old. He has nothing special on which to spend his money. He carries a grudge.
He spent a trifling portion of his money to hire enough detectives to learn every action of Spitzer. He discovered the secret trips out of town. He discovered the prostitutes. He paid them lots of money for the dirt.
Hank Greenburg destroyed Spitzer and may still be after his sorry ass.
