So you are looking for a pope - looks like you have settled for a bishop - cult leader Romney. You get what you deserve.

I’m going to write in her name when I vote, if I get the chance..........

I'll be tempted to do that too, but it ain't (excuse my argot) over yet ... Sarah might still get the GOP nomination.

So here you are showing, once again, you aren’t much FOR America or what is good.

Now that, is something on which you and I can agree!

Sarah Palin has not yet received an invitation to speak at or attend the Republican National Convention this August in Tampa, Newsweek reported.

Everybody is quoting the same questionable source. If true though it would be a hugh mistake. Do not underestimate the power of the Palin side.

For all concerns I hold the GOPe GUILTY of not supporting her after the last election and essentially doing nothing to help her in face of those numerous fraudulent ethics charges. The GOPe did nothign to help her and “effectively” forced her from the governor’s office by their deliberate inaction.

Under what official capacity would she be attending? She is not a candidate as she only flirted with being one, she is not a delegate, she is not a Governor as she quit that job, she is not an elected offical, she is not a spokesman. She is nothing but a commentator on FoxNews.

Excellent point. And I'm a Sarah Palin fan.

I was hoping Palin would run but it's way too late for that now.

A Conservative, small Government third party could make some headlines by inviting her to their convention.

and then nominate her to run! She is what we need and the GOP shunning her says a whole lot more about them than it does her. They are not on the people’s side. Out with them.

That is a good point. Is she allowed to speak at a political convention?

She has a contract with Fox News to do political commentary. Would this exclude her from having a speaking role at the convention?

I am just curious about the legality and ethical aspects of having a member of the media as a convention speaker.

If there's any good that can come of this, perhaps Mrs. Palin will recognize the civility she's shown the GOPe does not run both ways. For too long she has held her tongue and softened her stance out of respect for the party that brought her. She has not yet fully realized they only brought her to appease us, and not because they respected her conservative values. Her loyalty to the party is a misdirected bond the GOPe has used to reach out to the grass roots, and the GOPe respects us as little as they respect Mrs. Palin. Once she frees herself of that bond, she will no longer feel the need to support McCain and other RINOs for the sake of "party unity" (an excuse a number of our own FRiends use to support Romney right here, right now). And, when that happens, when we conservatives finally realize the extent of our trust ends with the extent of our values, we can finally unite and begin reformation from the grass roots up. It's past time for the Republican Party to go the way of the Whigs and new party rise from its ashes. I'm moving forward under the impression that party will be The Constitution Party. I'm confident Mrs. Palin would be welcome.
