The BS fillers "widely recognized", "widely discredited" and "...on so many levels" are a red flag to me. The claim of broad consensus with no supporting evidence is a common tactic. The use of "...on so many levels" is a facade that pretends a deep understanding of a topic that can't be defended on further probing. When I see those devices in use, I call BS.
