Actually think the keeping of the log book in a safe place is an excellent idea. If HI must go through birth records and prove birth of individuals that actually were born on the island, it may be one of the few documents they can use. It going to be a mess to clear up. BUT it must be done.

Affidavits from living relatives who were there at your birth have been used. Also baptismal certificates, family bibles. My mom's birth was a home birth: even in Indiana there are/were rules.

How does one go about forcing them to clean it up?
