This is interesting as I had expected Perry to be the surprise VP pick after all the nonsense about Rice and Pawlenty had its desired effect and were put to rest. Perhaps Perry was led to expect this as well and just learned now this was not to be?

Possibly Perry was hoping to be VP, but thinking back about his debate performances, I think he is just “stupid”.
I just don't think he is always tuned in to his surroundings. Remember how he got confused and made excuses about being tired, et cet...
