I guess she doesn’t like to use her married name which is Huma Weiner. Of all the names on the planet earth that should never be paired with Weiner, it has to be Huma. .....Huma Weiner.

“I notice that, in defending her honor, he didn’t bother to actually address the facts of the case. Which is her ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Now I notice that John Boehner has joined in attacking Bachmann. So I guess it is a good time to bring up the facts of the case. What ties does Abedin have to the Muslim Brotherhood?

What ties does Abedin have to the Muslim Brotherhood?

Through her mother and her brother.

Now, I think for the State Department that is seen as a feature and not a defect, because they are hoping to engage and moderate the Brotherhood; they see them as the coming force to be reckoned with so her ties and her understanding of them is something they value.

She has similar ties and understanding of the Saudi world, and again through her family she has ties and understanding of the "arab spring" movement which is bringing the Brotherhood to power; obviously that makes her valuable to State and the Clintons.

So, what Michele Bachmann is saying is true. What McCain and Boehner are saying may also be true, she may very well be of "sterling character". Its possible for both to be true. The question is, while she is our bridge to the Brotherhood and the "arab spring" movement, is she also their "agent of influence"? Thats Michele's question. Its not offensive to ask it. In effect Bachmann is questioning where Hillary's (and Obama's) sympathies lie; since we have apparently tilted toward the Brotherhood the last couple of years its again a proper question I think. Is our engagement of the Brotherhood a function of "realpolitik" or sympathy?
